As you may notice by the meek size of my post count, I am new to this forum. And being new I am not informed much on this site and was wondering if there was any sort of rankings for the players such as the wsop's toyota player of the year points and things of that nature. If there is not a system like that i think it would be a fun idea to introduce and would account for some great competition. On the other hand if it is already introduced and i am just unaware of its existence then I can not wait to get started on racking up the points.

Fonz dont you think Texasholdemforums Points Leader board, For our approved members, (which i plan on being soon.) would be a good idea?
Like i posted before it would be fun to have the competition with other friends on the forum. Dont know how points would work, probly for places. You can work that out if you choose to do this idea. I think other approved members would agree to this Leader board and it would be a nother improvement to the new style tournaments. Feed back anyone? i would like to hear
This would be a great idea.I saw a site were they had a leader point system for there tournemnts and it looks like a good idea.We could make points for top 20 players of the tournment.
ex.1st 50 points
2nd 40 points
3rd 35 points
4th 30 points
5th 25 points and so on...
We could have a tournment for top 10 or 20 players of the week or month or give away a prize for top player of week or month.
well im not sure how best a leader board system would work - as people who win are getting money anyways
which is why a hall of fame would be easier at first
id prefer any points system to be for tournaments where the winners havent had any money from the site yet - and then i give out a bonus prize to the winner or whatever
I believe a leaderboard would bring more competition between members and give them even more incentive to strengthen thier play. As they would be able to talk trash to their rivals (friends) on site.
I think that a TLB would be a GREAT idea... it would be a lot of fun to see people tryin to beat each other and actually try... but I think it would have to be for approved members only since there are many people that do nothing but do the freerolls for the site
i think this would best work if it was automated - which would mean a poker company doing the stats
as i simply havent got time to manually update something like this every week
