Default New format for the next big freeroll

as you know were constantly changing our freeroll format in a bid to reduce the number of aholes who are taking place in our tournaments

the other night, two people who were most likely cheating pushed out 2 good members of this forum to the next stage. This isnt fair - i apologise to the 6th and 7th finishers - ive emailed pokerstars about it

im gonna be having a big tournament a few weeks after this multi heat tournament

approved members will automatically be allowed into the tournament.

Non approved members will have to go through one of 2 heats to get to the same stage as approved members - with only 10 non approved members going through to this stage

ive not decided if the tourney will be a multi heat tournament or not - ill decide nearer the time.

now i know that this means theres still a possiblity of aholes getting though - but it will be greatly reduced. Plus i dont want to leave out those who havent reached approval yet just because of a few bad apples.

In future tournaments once approved members are up, the non approved prelimalery heats may be dropped with all big money tournaments remaining exclusive to approved members - once we have got more approved members

let me know what you think guys

to those members who dont think theyll be approved by then, i apologise if you feel your getting left out. But dont worry - youll get approved in time and will be able to join in

Sounds like a great thought about this. But I am curious on this part: "approved members will automatically be allowed into the tournament." <--Meaning manually added or only approved get the password? Looking good to get out the assholes

Oh I just want to ask, do you know when the pay tourny is?

After playing in a few of your free rolls I would really like to become a "Approved Member".
And also I am looking forward to playing everyone who made it past the heats.

Fonz,

Another great idea! I wasn't aware fo the problem at the PS freeroll and agree entirely that some people must be excluded from these tournatments or they'll ruin it for all of us. Keep up the great work - your efforts are really appeciated.

approved members is definettly a good idea. after reading about homeless jim and then talking to him at last nights free roll heat, it seems the fairest way to keep out the idiots.

havent played a heat yet missed them by a couple of minutes!!!

Hey fonz, i think your approach should help weed out the aholes....at least we can hope lol. Quick question, you said 2 people were most likely cheating and pushed out 2 good members of this forum.....just what the heck were they doing?
If it is proven that they were cheating i hope pokerstars makes an effort to find and ban these 2 individuals off their site as cheating is something that simply can't be tollerated....keep the good ideas coming.

sincerely Brian1803

personally as a new member of texas holdem forums, and one who this rule would directly effect, i feel that its a good idea to delay the newcomers on this site for approval. its better to delay newcomers who are quality posters on the site in order to weed out ppl like homlessjim. ive seen him around a few rooms and got talking to him cause he lives near me here on long island, if you want me to stomp him out... i can (jk) anyways just wanted to put in my 2 cents about how i think its a good idea to increase the minimum to get into tourneys
