Default The "Buddy" System
Anyone else feel kind of wierd about the "buddy" system? What does it mean if I'm "buddies" with someone? What's the point of the "buddy" system? Does anyone else feel kinda wierd at just randomly clicking the "buddy" button and making some guy your "buddy"? Notice how many times I've used the word "buddy" with inverted commas! What exactly do I accomplish by making somebody my "buddy"? (besides it saying that im "buddies" with someone in my profile????).

not a bad idea if it's in a single table tournament...have it so you can see your "buddy's" cards as well as your own...everybody is teamed up!...I think it would be fun!...then you split the prize money with your "buddy".

Well on the nice side, you can check up when your forum friends are online and how they are doing - give em a rail etc.

On the evil side, you might play against someone you considered weak, someone who you think you might usually beat.
If you can add them to your buddy list then you'll know when they are online. Not that I've ever done such a cold and calculating thing

Actually I've only ever added a few friends to my buddies and only on one site,
but I have written down names and notes of cash game players who tend to give their money away.

It's not evil, it's poker, they know theyre trying to take your money and you know youre trying to take there's. I'd much rather win money from someone I don't know...infact I'd much rather lose money to someone I don't know.

What do you all think of the Buddy SNG...team up...I just submitted it to Poker Stars.

You could have it with a private chat box to discuss strategy or without.

THF Player of the Year
I think he means the ''Buddy'' option here on THF. You can add someone as your buddy and there will be a + sign next to his name. It has no use whatsoever.

ohh...I thought it meant the poker clients that have the facility... and I thought Crapshoot was referring to collusion.

Miles off...

THF buddy system - no use to me - I don't like anybody here.

Crapshoots idea could be fun I think, you could imagine that good teams would be born and strategies developed - and collusion would no longer be an issue at those games.
