Default Email problems

I signed up here with my usual email, and didn't get the activation code. Requested another one, and again didn't receive it. Checked my spam folder - nothing. So I changed it to my Yahoo email, and it's in there instantly. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't offer (free) POP3 forwarding, so that's a bit annoying. Anybody have any ideas why some email addresses don't work with some forums? I've only had this problem with one other forum, while it works perfectly with dozens of others...

Now that you have the address that emails will be coming from just add it to your contacts and should solve your problem.

Some email addresses can be a problem. AOL is one. We have 16,000 registered members on THF. As far as I understnd it, if just one of those members with an AOL account receives an email from THF and decides to report that email as unwanted - AOL may blacklist the address. THF emails don't get delivered and members can't get registered.

The alternative...let us know in the forums...or re-register with a different email address.

It's not AOL. And I don't think my email provider just flat-out blocks certain addresses. That's what each user's spam folder/settings are for, afterall. Oh well... it works now with Yahoo, so no big deal.

Well glad you got sorted SilentJay.

Yeah sorry, the Stokenuts reference was just a forum joke and nothing to do with your post
