Approval System Added

due to the recent batch of spammers etc i have made the decision to add an approval system to the site

What is the Approval System and why was it started?

The approval system was started to ensure that freerolls, prizes and site benefits are only given to those who contribute to the growth of the site. We have had a lot of problems with spammers in the past and this is one step we have addd to ensure that spam is reduced and the quality of posts in the forum remains high.

This system rewards those who are good members and stops members making pointless 1 sentence posts in order to get their post level up.

Approved Members Get

• Private Messaging
• Access to freerolls
• Access to certain restricted rooms
• Option of adding an avatar to their posts
• Option of adding a signature to their posts

So what do i need to do to get approved?

First of all you need a minimum of 100 posts though having 100 posts doesnt mean you will be automatically approved - you may not be approved til you have 200 or 500 posts or whatever. You must also have been registered for at least 4 weeks.

When you have 100 posts you will see the approval room which is a sub forum of the suggestions and feedback room. From there all you need to do is make one post and one post only in the Get Approved Thread.

At this point a staff member will look at your forum posts.

To become approved

You must have been registered for at least 4 weeks and have a minimum of 100 good posts.
Your posts need to be of a high/good quality (eg members with lots of 1 sentence replies will not be approved).
Your posts must not break the rules - eg racist remarks, offensive comments to fellow members, posting affiliate links, promoting other sites.
Essentially if you are a good member and have come here to post you'll get approved - the approval system was set up to stop spammers getting into tournaments and to not reward those who are here with a hidden agenda (eg promoting a site or whatever).

Yea looks like a great idea .But i got a question kinda off the topic and i cant post new threads and also im not to sure how,but anyways my question is are we gonna start having money buy in tourny for THF after this big 500 grand final freeroll? I dont have any money right now but i plan to deposite soon and would like to particpate in them.So was just wondering if were gonna have them and when there gonna start.That way there would also be alot less people , probally around 15 or 20.

This idea is a fantastic one. This will knock out every spammer and only keep the real members from gaining access to the special THForums things. I look forward to everything this brings to an already great site.

i really like this forum. it's nice to bounce ideas off like minded people who have both suffered and ejoyed the ups and downs of poker. i'd like to echo the above with my congrats on getting rid of spammers and bots.

ill definately start having pay tourneys once there is enough interest in it - last week thread asking for possible players confirmed that we dont have enough interested as yet but this will change

in about 4 - 6 weeks time we will start making most big prize money tournaments exclusive to approved members

also im really pleased you guys are in support for this im sure it will greatly eliminate leechers and stops any new members thinking theyll be rewarded for posting garbage

This approval system is an excellent idea. The only ones who would complain about it are the ones not worthy of participation in our private tourneys anyway or the ones who don't want to take the time and effort to earn their way in. Top notch thinking Fonz. Good Show.

I think it is a great idea it will take a some time to get the 100,good post
but it will be worth it . i like this site alot and i don't post i alot but i try to
make a real good try. i don't spent a lot of time online but the time i spend
online i make count..so forgive me if it take some time
