First off I think this is a great Idea Fonz.

And PooNz as the 4 week thing goes. If people that are already signed up to this site and do participate in it quite frequently then there shouldn't be any problems. The big $500 Freeroll is in the middle of march so people that are interested in this site will already be involved in this and won't have any objections to this.
Only problem I do see with this is some people love to play poker but forums are not their cup of tea. As I can speak of my brother in law in this situation.
People sometimes just love to read and learn what others are doing, cause basically you getting the same people repeating over and over again the same type of content. Like what would you have done on this hand. Or Pocket A's never win etc. etc.
I totally agree with this but yes I do know you can't please everyone so all you can do is try it out and see what happens.

This is excellent news Fonz and i for one could not be happier, this should help eliminate the one line nonsense that has been showing up on the forums lately. There have been times in the recent past where i may have disagreed with you in point and principle on certain topics and that is fine...."point/counterpoint" are what discussion forums are all about. But the one thing i can honestly say about you and your site is, you have been fair and unbiased and have made every effort to get this site off the ground and on course about what the site is supposed to be about in the first place "Poker Discussions".
My hat goes off to you and all involved for your efforts...kudos and congrats!

sincerely Brian1803

Good this new system should weed out the sitouts in the private tourneys also, as you will have to actually do something to get into the private game Kudos Fonz

nasty - you can get updates on any thread you want. Simply subscribe to the thread via the thread tools option at the top of the thread.

i know there are people who love poker but dont post in forums - but why should they be rewarded in front of people who post regularly?? Surely, the people who are posting and providing the info people like your brother like to read should be rewarded for contributing to the forum

Cant please everyone - people have complained about too many people being in the freerolls then some people have complained about the post requirement being too high. Cant have it all ways

agreed Fonz. like the approval scheme idea, seems to be the solution to most of the problems that we've had. i also like the idea of a buy in tourney that you mentioned earlier in the thread, would definately be up for that.

If folks want to become part of this poker community, than they will stay and post. If they are here for freerolls only and nothing else, then they can go directly to the websites all over the net and get into freerolls. I for one am here to contribute to others learning and learn myself. Fonz, I have enjoyed myself so far and hope to continue!

I think the systen is way fair. It encourages the members of the site who post regularly to keep it up, and DIScourages those who don't NOT to. Kinda makes sense to me. btw- all those heats...you guys are giving me WAY too much leverage.(j/k)
