Feedback on the newsletter

OK people, the newsletter was discussed a bit and we got our first newsletter out.

7letters wrote this one and we will make this monthly i think. It is for Freerollforums and Texasholdemforums.

I mainly wanted it for the games and too get some members that forgot about THF and FRF for some time. When i look at the members who visited it looks like some old approved members and it also looks like kikolo and starlightcoast saw the newsletter and checked back in.

Any suggestions about what should be included?

league champions and some major accomplishments by members?


I just wanted to bring it up i really liked what 7letters wrote and i think it's a good idea to make in say monthly and when we have bigger games...

Well I guess my Spam Eater ate my copy cause I never saw it. Could you send another copy or better yet is there a link to it here on the site? would be nice to have a link somewhere.

we've been discussing this for a while in the staff room. we have waited a while because we want to do it right

in my opinion the newsletter should
* include any site news
* updates on upcoming games
* results of prevoius months competitions
* any special offers etc

if we do it right then we could also sell advertising spaces on the newsletter and use the proceeds to fund games

A couple other things that could be noted ( I know this part may be extensive ), for one maybe add in the acknowledgment of birthdays for the month. second thought that jumps out at me would be a little welcome message to new members and listing their names for the month. Another thing that could maybe put in there would be a specific post of the month or poster of the month.

Now I know doing this requires a quite a bit of work for just one or 2 people. What about having a group of specific members set up to put together the specific parts then once everything has been collected then whomever is going to be sending out the newsletter could just copy and paste everyones work into it.

P.S. I would not have a problem in helping with this seeing as though I am for the most part here all day. Just a thought.
