Sunday League Starting Time for Feb

Although it was a great game today at PS it would appear that the time is some what early for a good few players that won't be able to make every game because of the time........there are a few European players in this league so I feel the time has to be fair for both time zones.....I'm opting for a 4pm ET (9pm GMT) start time as I feel a 5pm ET start time will go on to late for some Europeans finishing after 12 midnight....however lets do a poll and see where the general consensus is.

I like it the way it is but I also agree with whatever most euro's want as well.
Remember that no matter what time it starts it will hurt someone.

I'd have to agree that a later start time would most likely add more players to the game. As Barron says, no matter which time you choose you will most likely hurt someone. The key is to pick a time that will hurt the "least" amount of people thus drawing more into the game. I'd agree with a 4pm EST start time. Not too early for the West coast US and not too late for the Euro's. Keep in mind if the games grow to 30 or 40 players the game can go on for 3-4+ hours.

I unlike most of the euros would prefer a return to the 1700 slot. I am not going to vote as if it is earlier then I can't play BUT don't want to influence things for the sake of one person

I think this will grow if we get regular numbers at the games - so whatever gets bums on seats I am good with and will play what I can.

P.S. Will take money from people to go after one person

18 replies so far which is cool.....still have the rest of this month to decide but it would appear to slightly be leaning towards a 4pm ET (9pm GMT) start time and more-or-less everyone is happy......we'll keep the poll open and see it anything much changes with the current results.

On the other side ,if we switch it and the numbers decrease ,do we blame the league or the new time if changed?
Maybe we should make sure all the votes are from people who will be playing or have played when the end of the month arrives.Maybe those who have voted and wont be able to play unless the time is moved should reply verbally in here to give us more clarification.

I'm not home at 2pm EST. I usually come home between 4 and 6pm EST. But if I have a tournament to play I can make it 5pm.

You still should cast a vote Jonsie. It's just your preference. Every person who votes is voting for the best time for them. In the end the time slot that has the most votes should be taken into consideration for next month. You won't "influence" things as you say. You will just be adding a vote to the time slot of your preference. And if the majority of players agree with you then maybe a change is in order. I personally can only make every other game (2 per month) if it stays at 2pm. 5pm is my ideal time yet i voted 4pm just to be fair to the Euro's. With a game at 4pm i will be about 30-45 min. late every other week but it won't stop me from entering each week.
