these features have actually been in the forum functionality for a while but i had to go through and update some templates so you guys were not able to use them.....i know i know....bad fonzy!!!!
anyhoo, here are the two small extra features
Multiquote
you will now see this button in posts
this is the 'Multi quote' Button. If you click on the button you will see the button change to
The multi quote button allows you to quote several posts in your reply. The red multi quote button highlights the posts which will be quoted in your reply.
For example. Say you wanted to reply to a thread but you wanted to quote the first post and the 4th post. You would hit the
on the 1st and 4th post changing the multi quote button to
.
You then scroll down to the bottom and hit the standard reply button eg.
you will not see the 1st and 4th posts quoted in your reply box already
Quick Edit
I know you guys will like this.
When you want to edit your post now you will be able to edit the post much more quickly ie. without loading up a new page. This is an extremely handy feature and should speed up your posting here at THF
Just click on the
button and you will be able to edit your post
from the quick edit area you will see a text area where your post is, a reason for editing box and these buttons
Save - saves your edited post
Go Advanced - Takes you to the standard edit/reply page with full features
Cancel - This stops you editing the post and removes the quick edit box
