| | | | Id say open registration up an hour before the tourney, you'll get a lot less people that sit-out, because they'd on the site at most an hour before it... alot of ppl register days before and forget about it. | |

| | | | I think having 25 posts is a perfectly reasonable requirement. At a minimum, it should take a few days to post that many intelligent comments/replies. I also like the idea of limiting registration to 1 hour before the tourney. Too may people, in my experience, register for tourneys and then forget about them. | |

| | | | I also didnt like the prize chart...I do like the bounties though that made it very interesting..I dont agree with the 25 post's thing...because I am new to this site...and I have really no problem participating on the sight and chatting it up with everyone and giving my opinions on things...but 25 posts its exactly participating...its going a little overboard....but I am not in charge so I dont make the rules..but u wanted an opinion ill give one free of charge 10 post's..that wouldve been smarter :-D

| | | | I disagree. 25 posts isnt much - last week there was no minimum level, hundreds signed up and only a few stayed to post - what benefit does that bring the site? You have to remember that this money is coming out of my own pocket - im not a big huge company like party poker or whatever - i work a 9 to 5 job (unfortunately). | |

| | | | I think the 25 post idea is good, because it will force us newbies to the site to get more involved in topics rather than just read them. Also, people will feel more invested in their buy in and hopefully show up to play. I love the idea of not letting people stay in after the first few blinds if they sit out, but PokerStars and other sites cant do that. I read the policy on it the other day, and they basically said they treat freeroll regristration like they would a buy in. For a tourney you get 1500 chips for your buy in, and are entitled to those chips. takeing them away would not only be unfair to the person sitting, but everyone in the tourney because they would not have the right proportion of chips. This is how they explained it. The compared it to someone who sits down, and does nothing but fold for the first 2 hours. There is nothing wrong with it.
I am not saying that I am happy about it or that I agree with it, but that is what PokerStars had to say on it. | |

| | | | 25 posts is great. People shouldn't be able to exploit this website. It's an excellent pool of information, and it's extremely helpful to those involved. 25 posts is reasonable. One question though...what about future freerolls? Are you going to up the ante so to say? You want people to continue to contribute to the site, but you also want to entice new members to join. I'd say, switch it up a little. A smaller freeroll for those with 25 posts, and a larger one for people with "X" (x>25) amount of posts. That would be awesome. - logan | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
