Default Got some good feedback from pokerstars about having our own tournaments

contacted over a dozen sites about having our own tournaments.

most have said that they are developing this or are going to get back to me on it.

Pokerstars allow you to create your own private tournaments but its only for regular players. However, Lee Jones (yes the real Lee Jones - seems like a nice guy ) said that if we can bring 30 players on a regular basis he can set it up so that we can have regular tournaments. Id prefer to get about 50 interested members as a lot of people might not be able to make it.

Now the sites picking and were getting new members but were still not busy enough to ensure 30 players play but im hoping that we will have enough in 2 months tops.

I dont know the setup of how the tourney works - but regardless i will be boosting the prize money - any if its not possible to do it via pokerstars ill simply send the money via neteller or something to the winners.

Now at first im gonna make this a monthly thing but when we start to get new members we could have it weekly or ........damn, we could have it daily if the forum gets big enough!

Ill keep you posted but i dont want to get back to pokerstars until i have about 50 definates

have you tried Absolute? That's where I play a weekly tournament run by another site and last week we only had 12 players and this week we had 13 I think. They do it as a $3 buy in and don't charge any rake on that buy in which is an added bonus.

If you don't mind me asking....do you pay for these tournies out of your pocket? Or does pokerstars like give a commission for adding new players to their site?

Just curious about the whole "freeroll" thing....seems like you're getting the shaft end of the deal
