Default How To Become a THF Freeroll Player

Hey Fonz!! I guess I'll never see the light at the end of the Texas Holdem Forums tunnel. I just read your piece on how to become a THF freeroll player. Wow, no wonder hardly anyone plays in your tourneys!!! It is now ten minutes to your Sunday 2PM game time and there are a whopping three players registered for a freeroll. That's amazing!! By the way, you should update the times on your weekly calendar info. Two weeks ago I played and won your Sat buyin at AP. Guess what? Only seven players showed up. This Sat May 13 I played (did not win) only twelve players showed up. Do you get the gist of my message? Keep up your elitist type of rules and management for THF and very soon, sooner than you think, you will become a man of leisure just as I am. Except that I did my time productively and now I enjoy my leisure. This is constructive food for thought and for your digestion. Take it or leave it, but suffer the consequences.

Cool

Its not that hard to post 30 times. THF has to pay for some of the freerolls. They want people to get involved and post. Thats y fonz did. At least thats my opinion y.

Regardless of Homeville's fun posts, here is real answer. We are here at this forum to learn from each other and build our game, as well as play against each other from time to time. Frankly its annoying as hell to have everyone and thier sister play in our freerolls ( which is paid for from a small THF bankroll and sometimes Fonz's pocket) with folks no one has ever heard of.
This is a small community, this site will never make Fonz a millionaire. And we are certainly not here to make your freeroll millionaire dreams come true. If you participate, contribute in some real capacity, and play with us, well then, we wish you good fortune. But to assume we are all here feeding your odd logic that the money tree here is bottomless and anyone with a password is equally worthy, well then, move along small toad

Next.

Play by our rules please.

I agree...I've been a member since March...I think. I like to come on here and learn from others. I think this is only my third post to be honest. The 30 posts will come sooner or later. But I have to really give a big thanks to Fonz for this site because I've increased my playing skills quite a bit since I've started reading post on this site. I still seem to consistently lose money but some day I'll start getting a positive bank roll. (Trying to play way out of my bankroll) I started playing poker in March and have won 4 MTTs and I have no idea how many SNGs I've won. But I think you're doing a good thing by making it more difficult to qualify...besides, if there's only a dozen or so players...your chances are a lot better.

What is the point of complaining if you dont want to be part of the forum and the rules you can leave when ever you would like a few requirements shouldn't do anything to make you upset because now their is less people in the freerolls.

Hey Holdem Kid, Alli, Matho! I've been around the block (forums) a few more times since my acclaimed, constructive, criticism. I do see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm happy to say that, in the forums I am a member of, I have tons of posts. Much more than thirty!!

Holdem Kid, I agree that thirty posts isn't much. Perhaps, newbies should be allowed Pws for a reasonable amont of time, enough to post thirty times. Then if the quota isn't met, that member could be cut off and told to post as mandated by THF.

Alli, I also agree with everything you said. I reiterate: my comments were said and meant in good faith, for Fonzerelli's consideration and the well being of the forum.

Matho, what you said may be true, however, it sure is the easy way out. If I hadn't cared for THF, I most certainly would not have made those comments.

I'll check in with THF periodically, post a couple of times, and when I hit the magic thirty I'll look forward to playing at your tables.
