Hey Rat.. I think it would be better if we made it later in the evening.. that way Fonz and Kaart would just be going to bed! (Just kidding guys!) The format sounds very good. Let me know if I can help. I will hopefully be back in a more normal time zone myself soon.. and might be able to help. Keep me in mind.

i know games grid does this on certain tourneys there, but i'm not to keen on this idea myself. i think winning first place $$ in a 15-20 player weekly tourney and eliminating a seat in the championship game should be incentive enough. what does everyone else think?

As our first tournament series winds to an end (25 finished - 5 left ) we wish to make you aware that the next series ( 30 ) will allow many more entrants to the Mega Tourny Final. Entry will now be determined simply by attendance. You qualify by playing in any six ( 6 ) of ten (10 ) Tuesday tourny's, or any six of ten Thursday tourny's or any six of ten Sunday tourny's. The other option to qualify is to play in ANY nine ( 9 ) of the thirty (30 ) tournaments.
In addition, a Consolation Tournament ( $500 ) will be held for anyone who has played in at least any four ( 4 ) of the thirty (30 ) tournaments and HAS NOT QUALIFIED for the Mega Final.

Current Mega pool at $3050. with 5 tournys remaining!!

homeville, here's the e-mail i just got with the new format. it's now the same as that 320 player tourney i was telling you about. this starts a week from sunday. if you did want to cruise here i would suggest the large one on the second saturday of every month. they pay the top 24 with 1st in the $2200 area. game starts at 7:00, doors open at 5:30 and best to get there at 5:30 seeing two months ago sold out by 6:00. and if unlucky another one starts at 10:00 every saturday with a $40 buy-in averaging 18-25 players. this one is at a different joint. if still interested let me know

I did something simliiar to this last semester with my friends...we took half of one buy in from each game, regardless of the number of players, and put it torwards a freeroll for the top league players at the end of the semester.

I agree -- let's not make it too complicated to start. If you win a week, you make week 11. If you win multiple weeks, you've won more money and reduced the competition for week 11.
