Red face we need a change

Something needs to be done about the password. I know that there are people who abuse the free rolls but there are a number of steps the site can take. Registering you screen names is an obvious 1 if you don’t register you don’t play. maybe blue level member could get the password in advance 1 day or so.im not complaining this is all advice to help out it's just with soooo many forums out there for poker you have a lot of competition If a newbie comes and has problems they will just go to the next one on the list. were all newbie’s once right

Here are some more ideas

1.free rolls to buy in tournaments eg.have a free roll @ site X give away seats to a buy in tournament for $2 at a later time so you could win your way in or if your a member and u suck like me lol you can buy in

2.Email notification of the password; send out the password when you post it in an email to members. or email them that its up so you don’t have to keep checking back and forth

I really like this site but with so many other sites I think that you will lose out on your market share if you don’t make changes ALL other forums make you pre register your screen names so sitouts and cheaters are dealt with. It just makes sense to update the site to make it more user friendly more interesting and more appealing to new users who will support and post on the site

i have been paying attention to this. Its unfortunate that a few bad apples can ruin it for hundreds of decent members - but thats exactly what we have to contend with.

what we can do is give permissions to senior blue level members to be able to help posting the password for games.

With regards to registering screen names, we tried this before at THF and it wasnt very practical. The only benefit of doing this would be to submit names manually for a freeroll. Its not practical for various reasons

* we would have to email the poker sites with usernames up to 2 days before (something which they arent usually keen on doing)
* its very timeconconsuming to collect info for whos gonna be playing at several freerolls every week - we simply dont have the time to do it

with regards to emailing the pass - i simply cant be online when all the games are on. (a lot are in the nightime for me)

i think more people helping out with the pass is the way forward - it greatly reduces any chance of the pass not being posted.

I personally like the way the passwords are handles right now. Posted a short time before the tournament. Makes for less people giving it out. Lately there was been a bump in the road, but that was a very rare thing. I think your idea of having more help from your more senior or trusted members in posting passwords is a great idea.

i'm with Fonz here. That way the ones being trusted with the passwords are the ones that are valued/trusted members to begin with. I'd feel a lot safer that way. So, I'm with Fonz's idea.
