Default Upgrade from White Level to Blue Level needs manual Approval From Staff

We have said this time and time again. Its unfortunate for the good members here but a few bad apples can ruin the party.

A few days ago we had the first league game at pokerstars. Not only was it our first league game, it was also our first blue level game.

We saw
* Members turbo posting to increase their post level to reach blue level
* Members posting garbage to increase their post level to reach blue level
* Several non blue level members at the game who shouldnt have been there

Myself and staff have been dissapointed about this. We know who the good guys are and we wont let those who cheat the system ruin the forum for everyone else.

The level system was brought in to ensure members who contribute here are rewarded.

The new rules for getting to blue level have been added to http://www.freerollforums.com/levels.php

Members who have been registered for two weeks and have 50 posts will be able to see the Request Approval to Blue Level room. In this room a member should post a thread requesting approval, at which point staff will look at that members posts.

Only those with quality posts will be upgraded.
* Members with very high quality posts may be upgraded before reaching 50 posts. This is at staffs discretion. Do not request to be pre-approved.
* Although the minimum for approval is 50 posts, 50 posts does not mean you will be upgraded. Quality not quantity is the key. If your posts are not of a high enough standard it may be 150 or 300 posts before you get upgraded...or even never. We dont reward members who post garbage to increase their post count.
* We dont look highly upon members who turbo post

We have taken these steps to ensure the forum is fun for those who are loyal and contribute here.

Basically it means that spammers and garbage posters will never be rewarded at FreerollForums. All posting garbage posts does is make it longer for you even to get your level upgraded and enjoy more site benefits

For all of you out there who are loyal to the site and take the time to contribute here, this new rule will not really affect you. This new rule was brought in to stop the cheats from benefiting from filling the forum with garbage

Thanks guys
kev

no. I didnt ask and im not going to. Its not any of their concern. It was the forums fault they got the password - it wasnt pokerstars. Pokerstars cant just take money back from accounts (and id have issues with them if they did)

all we can do is make a not of their usernames and make sure they dont get in any games here again

I think it is a very good politic to have to ban every one cheating. I dont have as many posts myself but perhaps i will get the req. 50 posts some day and then I would be disapointed if someone not worthy just sitting in and take money and points that should not belong to them.

Alot of people just read forums and soak up information from them, I wish I could just take a quiz over items in the forums and see if im eligible to be a blue level, simply because I was never really good at english.

You're funny.

How do you read the forums and how are you going to take a quiz if you're not good at English?

Since you're reading the posts and soaking up the info, take a few minutes to post a couple of replies. It's not very difficult.

Your English seems fine to me.

Only if I get to ask the first question.

I won't give it away incase we do have a quiz, but I'll give you a little hint.....

It's the number one question asked on this site.
