i have a ridicuous question that no one seems to be able to answer , lets say you are playing stud with 9 people at a table , what happens if no one folds , it would take 63 cards to deal out 7 stud hands while 52 are in a deck , even if one folds u still dont have enough , what happens?

i can answer this. the answer is that you cant have a stud table with 9 players, stud is played with 8 players maximum, but yet there can still be problems because 7x8 = 56 ...im guessing that 8 handed stud, which is what most sites play, depends on someone folding a hand

edit: it would be fun as an experiment for 8 of us to sitdown at a stud table and check a hand through, just to see what happens....

ok i found the answer....if there arent enough cards to finish the hand then the last dew cards are dealt into the middle of the table and used as community cards

Love stud hi/lo, hate getting myself into a game and then finding out after several hands that it is hi/lo, lol. My own stupidity!! No telling how many winning lo hands I have thrown away due to this mistake. If you aren't catching monster hi hands, chances are, you are catching great low hands.

8*7=56
8*6=48

Only 7th street can be a community card, there are enough for 6th. But yes that is what happens in that situation, I have actually had this happen to me once.
