Thumbs up My New Found Love

What a game........really what a game....I love it 7 stud H/L is me game guvnor! lol

Its such a great game I'm playing just 50c buy in single table on AP I'm new at it and like to learn it at the bottom end of the buy-in scale (once bitten and all that) and I haven't finished out of the top three yet....(I'm not afraid to fold) but the outs, high hands, low hands its an oasis of variations......outdraws yes, bluffing hell yes when your showing good and the blinds are high it has everything including "MORE CARDS".

Admitatly I'm still a newbie but I'm having so much fun and winning all be it only my stake back but hey learn for free....!!!

Any pointers tho would be very much appr.

Supersystem 2.

I won a buy in tournament at stud h/l a couple weeks ago. I give 90% of the credit to Todd Brunson (and me listening), and 10% to me adapting to the tables (when they got weak, I was extremely aggressive based on up cards).

I place little value on middle pairs, to me they are support for drawing to a bigger hand (set or 2 pair with Aces or Kings). I fold many middle pairs if it's two bets to me.

Always realize when you are drawing for the high, and someone has the nut low, they may raise to try and get more money in the pot, costing you too much to draw. So tread lightly when you are second to act with live players behind you.

edit: thinking it over, It might be worthy to note at this point my copy of Supersytem 2 has paid for itself, just in stud h/l and 2-7 tripple draw.

At the same time... be able to recognize board lock with the lo, when 2 others are going hi, and raise and reraise. Try to catch that one that one poor soul in the middle. Just make sure he doesn't have an escape.
