Question Has anyone used this? Slow ray???

Has anyone used Pokerindicator? Slow ray....you mentioned a poker indicator in your bad beat post---was this the site?

What do you like about it? Is there any other products (better) out there?

Pokerindicator is very similar to Holdem Genius & Calculatem. I use Holdem Genius and have found it to be very useful. I have noticed an immediate improvement in my game and have won 2x sngs ($5 & $10) in a row while using Holdem Genius. My cash game is much better to. I think this would be a good choice for folks who want to have a better understanding of percentages, pot odds, outs, probability, etc. It's bound to help you make better descisions at the table. You can also adjust the playing style (loose aggressive>>>tight aggressive)

The results are speaking for themselves. I will go for a 3rd straight win in a $20 sng in the next day or two. I will let you know how i do. If i win i will move up to $30. Wish me luck.

THPKRPlayer -

I went and looked at the Holdem Genius that you use and can't find out how much it costs. I could only find a "free" download. It says it will unlock after you download a poker site from them and play 250 raked hands. Is there any other way to get one? I only download poker sites from FF or THF. Thanks for any info.

I looked into this....unfortunately the only way to get a license for Holdem Genius (or any other poker odds calulator for that matter) is to go to that site and use the links provided to the supported Poker site. In my case...i used the link provided on Holdem Genius's website to download pacific poker (888.com). I deposited the minimum of $20 on pacific (888.com). I played 250 raked hands in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours (it doesnt take long) and now i can use Holdem Genius on over 100 supported sites. My 888.com BR is now at $168 using HG....in a little over a week.

I use Poker Indicator. I find it quite useful. However it is not supported by a lot of sites. I got it free thru Bodog.com. The things I like the most are # of outs, winning %, pot odds and the EV. Think I'm going to check out Holdem Genius. I think anything that gives you the information fast will help your game. With online play you might not have the time to make a proper decision. These programs give you that info quick so you can make a smart decision.

Default Conflict of interest?

Intrigued by the "free download" on Poker Indicator and Holdem Genius, I went ahead and downloaded / installed these. I hadn't read slowray's and johnnyrax' comments about having to join / deposit certain poker sites to get the keys to these programs.

My first / main concern is that we have to join the poker sites through the application's website (that's how they get credit and make money). That takes away from THF. Should we even be posting links to them here?

My second concern is having to join yet another site just to test drive something I may, or may not, want. Why can't I test drive it and just pay them $20 for the software if I like it???

Just food for thought...
