Default Royal Vegas Poker

Does anyone play at this site? The only reason I play it is because of the initial $10, but I pissed that away so now I do it for the freerolls, where I know most of the players are bad. But everytime I enter the tournament I get to a point where the blinds will take a 10th of my stack if I'm just a hair below average. example: 6 people at my table have about 20,000 chips and the blinds are at 2,000/4,000!! Not even a 2 hours into the tourney. I don't know how people can play poker like that. The blinds increase every ten minutes and each time they seem to double. Makes it hard to last in that tourney without getting the cards at the mid point. The sit & goes are like this too. If you don't win a hand heads up (not even betting or calling each hand) you will be knocked out in about 5 hands. Blinds get up to 675/1250 and the chip leader might have 6,000 at heads up. You get a streak of 2 or 3 hands and you will win, nothing to do with poker, just luck of the cards.

yeah i started for the 10 dollars and freerolls two, just downloaded it yesterday. i must agree that the blinds go up way too fast. i played in 3 sit n gos and only won one of them because of the way its set up, also haven't placed in a freeroll yet, came close though. i'm still playing at the site though, because in the cash tables i was able to get my 10 dollars(at that point somewhere around five) up to over 30 dollars, the level of play at the low cost tables is laughable, which makes it great for some easy money.

Ive been playing there some you have to wait out the all inners.in the free rolls.IF you wait to long tho every one around you will have 10 or20 thousand chips like you said. Before you know it when you get a desent hand to play ,you go to bet and it seams like every one wants to knock out the man with the fewest chips.you can build your chips up pretty fast, but be patient an bet agressively when you do bet.Its worked for me.

I agree hair brain I did that, and I finished in the money one time (103 or something), but then the blinds ate me up. I was hot early and built quite a lead but I finished just out of the money. I'll probably just keep going then go to some cash tables.

Last week came 7th in a $2000 freeroll. And I have the token for a Lvl. 6 WSOP qualifing match. Royal Vegas is pretty good, freerolls are ok but you're right on one sense, blinds do go up too quick.

Personally I can't stand royal vegas, just because of the colour and the graphics. Usually I don't care about things like that, but royal vegas is just horrible. That deep blue has to be the most depressing color on the face of the earth, and the cards look like graphics out of some 1980's video game.

I 've played royal vegas for about a year now. If you can stand it through the all ins the freerolls pay pretty good. The have at least three freerolls a day that are free and two of them are 1000k. I've placed a few times but it takes forever to get that far. I have noticed that a lot of scandinavians[sp] play the freerolls. It's pretty cool to play against them, to see the different styles of play. The only thing is that even though it's supposed to be all english they still speak their on respective languages a lot. I'm curious what they are really saying but it's cool to see how many different peoples do play the game.

I signed up for the $10 "bonus". Have have managed to build it up to $24. I played on SNG that moved at a pace I was not comfortable with. It was a low entry fee and started with I think $800 or $1000 chips. I was out fairly quick, getting committed to a couple hands that I was ahead in and someone kept calling until they hit their draw.

I have used the fact that people will play to the river in the low limit cash tables to my advantage. This is where I made my SNG money back and built the bankroll up to a whopping $24. I doubled up by hitting two pair from the big blind with small cards. The board had all small cards, but no solid indicator that the other player had a straight and there was no flush on the board. I went all in and was called. The player turned over AK off suit. For a change my two pair held. The format is a bit annoying, but that is how I felt when I first started playing at Poker Stars. I don't think I will make a permanant home at Royal Vegas, but if I can build up a bigger bankroll, I will make a deposit, cash the whole thing out and transfer the money to Poker Stars.

I did notice that there are alot of Europeans on this site and that there is not a lot of table talk. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
