| | | | live results from various WSOP events i dont know if this counts as spam or not, but the site im linking to isnt my site, so i get nothing out of it.
Anyway, i found a site today, that has updates every now and then from the WSOP. They said the first tourney capped out at about 2400 players total (2200 with 200 alternate waiting).

| | | | dont look down any further if you dont want to know anything from the WSOP, but here are some of the more notable names left in the field. There are 111 players remaining after day 1 started with 2300 playing.

Mike Matusow $104,600

David "Devilfish" Ulliott $65,000

Phil Hellmuth $12,200
the top 2 players are chip leaders, so not as notable. Also, hellmuth would have about 40-50K more but his preflop all in KK was called by AK and an ace was hit on flop. | |
