| | | | National Heads Up TH Poker Championships Hey THF gang,
I wanted to start a fun forum poll on who everyone believes will win the National Heads Up TH Poker Championships. (please see link) National Heads Up TH Poker Championships Take the Poll, post your picks and offer an explanation as to why you believe this person will win. The Final 16
Phil Hellmuth
Antonio Esfandiari
Scott Fischman
Mimi Tran
Chris "jesus" Ferguson
Mike Sexton
Hasan Habib
Barry Greenstein
John Juanda
TJ Cloutier
John Hennigan
Lyle Berman
Carlos Mortensen
Huck Seed
Ted Forrest
David Sklansky
As an added insentive i am offering a $10 Poker Stars award to the one with the correct prediction of the eventual winner. Here's the catch...that person must also offer an explanation as to why they believe their pick will win it all. If several folks manage to pick the right winner....I will decide which post offered the best explanation on their winning pick and award that THF member $10 of pokerstars cash. They must have an account on Poker Stars.
No worries...I can cover this award.
It as simple as that.
Enjoy the Poll

| | | | Blackstone's Pick I'm going for the underrated Mike Sexton.
I never saw Mike Sexton win a huge tournament before and I really think Mike has incredible game. If anyone watched the "Poker Superstars 2", I saw Mike play in all his matches and he brings a weird feel to the table I think. He bluffs quite often at pots, and in head-up... I really think with his style of play... He could go all the way.

| | | | Im going with the ''magician'' I just saw him last week and a couple of weeks ago on either superstars or wpt but he worked magic on the tables. He came back from 850 to be Howard Lederer(not sure about spelling) I t was amazing
Esfendiari

| | | | Even though i cant award myself $10. My pick is Hasan Habib. He is currently 2nd in the player of the year standings behind Daniel Negreanu (who was eliminated last week by Antonio Esfandiari ("the Magician")). I like his style of play and feel he might be able to pull it off. If not then a close second goes to Phil Hellmuth.
GL to all.

| | | | Chris "jesus" Ferguson, I think the man is an amazing poker player, he's always calm, he has an amazing memory, and well, he looks like Jesus, how can you not bet on that? | |

Esfendiari | I agree that was an amazing comeback by the ''magician'' Antonio Esfandiari. He came back from a nearly insurmountable chip deficit to defeat Howard Lederer in Round 1. I dont think his magic will take him all the way though.

| | | | im gonna go with phil hellmuth. Although he is a cocky arrogant person, who is disliked by many people, he is a very solid player, and very rarely does he make a misread on an opponent and lose a hand that way. I think with heads up and with the blinds being small at the start, his solid play should let him be victorious. The only way i see him being taken out is if he gets crippled by a bad beat. Although i dont like the guy, i think his play is too solid and he should win.
Close second is TJ Cloutier, just because he's a solid player, who every time i see him play usually ends up doing really well, and with it being heads up it wont take a long time to play each game, so the wear and tear of a tournament shouldnt get to this solid pro | |

| | | | Interesting....so far no general favourites yet. Its spread out so far. I'm sure that will change as more members submit their choice.

| | | | I will have to go with John Juanda. I relate to him because I saw him play last year at the WSop and I copy my game from . He was the second best player last year behing Daniel Negreanu. I have never seen him in heads up but I still belive he's going to win. | |
