Default High Rollers: The Stu Unger Story

I saw this for the first time this weekend and it has got to be the worst poker movie of all time. It is 10 times worse than Tilt. Basically, this movie has almost nothing to do with poker. It is about Stu's life and when they do talk about cards, they talk about Gin Rummy. Wonderful. I would rather stab myself in the balls with a pen-knife than watch this movie again.

I don't know what your talking about man. This movie was excellent. You obviously are too obsessed with poker if you can't accept any other kind of movie. Yes i agree, it didn't have as much to do with poker as you would think...but a great movie nonetheless. I guess the only way to appreciaite his wins are to see the life he went through....but the actor is good...so have fun watching tilt....(which i didnt think wuz that bad eitehr)

Franky now I know how horrible TILT was, and I haven't seen the movie yet, but I can't in my mind concieve how anything is 10 times worse than TILT. I mean were they talking in German ? Did the movie actually work or was it all snowy looking on your T.V. Either way guess there is no way in hell I am gonna watch it now.

You said that tilt is not that bad and then you say that I am the one with bad taste. HAHAHAHAHAHAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....aahhhh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Whatever man, if you liked it all the power too you. Yes, I did rent it because I wanted to watch a poker movie. If I wanted to watch a story about a loser who pissed his life away I would have watched the micheal jackson trial. The reason why I bashed the movie is because the cover of the movie shows poker tables, the opening scene was about poker so they want you to believe it is about a poker. Its not, its about a guy with alot of talent and he pissed it away because he is a degenerate gambler and drug addict. Boo frickin Hoo. I am sorry, he gets no sympathy from me. A bad home life is no reason to ruin yours and everyone elses life around you. He is just another guy who makes excuses after he fucked up. Thats it and that is all the movie is. If you guys want to watch a poker movie, rent rounders.

And Tee, good point. Maybe not 10 times worse but I guess just being as bad as tilt is getting the point across.

I have to say, this movie made me want to throw a heavy object through my TV. Was it the bland diologue? Nope. Was it the lack of poker scenes? Didn't actually expect much poker, so that's not it. Well then, what could it be? How about the appearance of Vince Van Patten. You see, when I see Vince Van Patten, I think WPT, and I think Mike Sexton, and I cannot stand Mike Sexton, period. One of the most irritating personalities on television today. Anything that reminds me of Mike Sexton makes me wanna puke.
