Of course poker is a sport.....first like all sports you have to stretch ( your fingers and your neck), you have to drink some sort of energy or caffine drink to keep u up so u dont fall asleep at the table ( hint.. sammy farha 2004 wsop final table) lol....and it takes pratice, skill, practice, bad beats, practice, and luck.....plus practice....did i already say that?....you get money for winning although just like any other sport people take some of it because they were there ( there the whole time man i was rootin you on man....can i have 1$ pleeeese... i got pokerstars support for you...pleeeese)....plus you have to be good to win.... and in good shape....NOT!... i think poker is the only sport where u can be fat and win....besides eating contest sports thingys.....SO I THINK POKER IS A SPORT....( a sport of fatty fat champions...MUAHAHAHAHA). | | |

Poker a sport? Just look at Tomar Benvinisti and tell me he's an athlete. Just because poker is on ESPN doesn't make it a sport. After all ESPN stands for ENTERTAINMENT AND sports programing network. I'll grant you that sometimes you can break a sweat and your heart rate can climb, but poker is a game, and a great one at that. | | |
