| | | | MONEYMAKER OR RAYMER, who would win in a heads up match? Who would win you ask?
Well first of all look at it this way, moneymaker beat a feild of less than half of what raymer beat, but moneymaker had 15 all in bets opposed to raymers 12, so obviously raymer is the better player statisticly, but moneymaker is younger than raymer and got into the tourny by the internet.
Raymer has the glasses thing going on to throw people off there game, which is a very good tatic in tourny play, escpecially, in a tournament of such high caliber
Moneymaker had the huge chip advantage most of the tourny as his tatic, at the final table he sat back and let the rest of the players kill eachother and he attacked at the end to destroy sammy farha a formidle opponet.
I think raymer would win, just because of his better ability to be patient and wait for hands. | |

| | | | I think Moneymaker would win. I just think he is a better player overall. He was making good reads, bluffing, and winning the hands he had too.

| | | | I would have to say FossilMan on this one, he is very patient and watches his components carefully, Raymer has more style than Moneymaker, he just got lucky that year, i havent heard of him winning any other tournaments with pots that size ever since, So Raymer all the way | |

| | | | I think in Holdem Moneymaker would pretty much analiate, i think hes more aggressive then Raymer and would take control of the game early causing raymer to make loose calls..but i think if it wasnt holdem Raymer would take him down ive seen raymer play a mean game of Omaha | |

| | | | Raymer is at least 'semi' pro. I don't really know much about him other than of course he won the 2004 WSOP. Moneymaker is just some amateur with some skills, but seems like a one hit wonder type of player, though he might end up winning more and more because his name will get him into more events. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
