I never understand why people want to walk around outside with that kind of money. I work in a bank, and people do come in and request large amounts sometimes, even tho we advise against it. My bank is in a rough part of downtown. Now anything over $10,000., we make them sign a waiver saying we advised against it, and are not responsible if they get hit over the head 10 steps from the bank.

That really sucks. It reinforces the rule of being aware of your surroundings and the buddy system expecially when traveling in unfamiliar areas. I know that sounds corny. I guess being a women it has been a long time habit of mine. Men tend to think they can defend themselves just fine. I know first hand how violated a healthy young man can feel when he is robbed.

I heard about this through pokerroad. The guy probably though it would never happen since there was so many people there loaded with money. So things like this do really happen out of no where. It must really really suck though, to have played in a tourney and played good enough to make money to only get robbed later that day. People are low life scums these days and have nothing better to do but start robbing people of their good hard work pay.
