Default Watching the Pros online

Did anyone notice that on Stars they added a "Find a Team PokerStars player" option? If you want to watch some professional play you should really use this option; I watched Barry Greenstein milk $3000 off of a poor sap in five minutes!

I might check that out while I'm playing tonight. It really doesn't surprise me that they did this. Full Tilt has had this feature for a long time.

I have been entertaining myself like that for awhile. Sometimes they play a low limit game (not sure why) and get heckled for it quite a bit. I watched Isabelle Mercier do this one time (think it was a $5/45 SNG). I kept wondering if someone hacked her password. I watched many of them play during the WCOOP events. I would be so tired, but would hang to the bitter end. I think it is a great feature.

Watching the pros can be entertaining. The best one to me was Gavin Smith. I was with a different forum which had a radio show. They had him on the radio and later we got to play with him.

I did not play a single hand with him until the final table. We did not cross paths until then. At one point he milk half the chips from a fellow player hitting a K high str8 on the river. We chatted a while until he lost and was the tenth man out. The tournament speed up after he was eliminated.

But like he said you got to wait to kill in this game you cann't force it with out cards.

I think they play some of the cheaper games as part of their sponsorship otherwise none of us would ever get this kind of opportunity to play a pro at their normal stakes. A while back i came across Vanessa Rousso playing two $11 SNG's.

I like to watch the pros, and play against them. My current list includes:
Perry Friedman
Chris Fergerson
Chipp Jett
Humburto Brenes
Indirectly: Daniel Negranu and TJ Cloutier (I was in the same tournament, not the same table).

THF Player of the Year
Well there were questions and heckles from the observer chat in the $10 game he was playing. The Pro didn't answer any observer chat (he possibly couldn't see it anyway)

One chatter was asking why RaiNKhan was playing a $10 buyin.

The $300 buyin had a 1st place prize of around $50,000 -700+ entries from what I remember.
The $10 had 2500+ entries and a $14,000 1st prize. Good money for both events if you can get deep.

Seeing a Pro at lower buyins is good for pokerstars publicity also.

I've basicly just watched Noah Boeken. I never see the others play really. During the WCOOP i watched Fossilman when he won and Daniel Negreanu during the main event, which he was in the lead in for a while, which is cool.
