| | | | Moneymaker got 2nd place in the Bay 101 Shooting Star WPT Event, and received around $170,000 for this. He also cashed in a WSOP event for $21,000. Other than those two cashes, I have not seen or heard of him. | |

| | | | I was most impressed with his win in the Blind Man's Bluff competition..........LOL. That takes some skill. | |

| | | | everyone says that, like, he won the world series on luck, just because he won with a 52, but he was heads up! that happens sometimes in heads up! he had to be pretty good to get there in the first place. | |

| | | | MoneyMaker had luck!!!! Yes, he won in 2003, but did anyone see what he did in the 2004 WSOP?...he did awful.~ You look at someone like Dan Harrington, now that is a good poker player, he made it to the final table 2 years in a row, and won the WSOP!~ Hellmuth for life! | |

| | | | I disagree with the idea that Moneymaker is a bad player because he went out early in the 2004 WSOP main event. Just because Moneymaker unsuccessful in the one event does not make him a bad player. 2001 World Champion Carlos Mortensen made an early exit and no one calls him a bad, or lucky player. Lets not forget, Mortensen outdrew pocket aces when his opponent was all-in to win the championship. | |

| | | | Moneymaker was lucky. He may be a good player but he is not a pro, he has luck on his side. If Sam would have only called him. | |

| | | | Moneymaker got a lot of sponsorships after his win, but has not played great poker since. I've seen him on PokerStars in a couple of the BIG tourneys. | |

| | | | I remember watching the 2003 WSOP. Moneymaker said no matter how well he does in poker, he will still keep his job as whatever he was (accountant?). So I guess that is why you don't see him much. | |

| | | | it takes luck to win the main event no matter who you are so yes he was lucky. but i've seen moneymaker on various shows including the battle of the sexes and the wpt and he has a dvd out about online poker that i've seen. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
