Default Dan Harrington

Why don't we ever see much of Dan Harrington besides in the WSOP? He seems

to have a good strategy that works for him. A lot of people say that tight play is

not winning play, even written by some of the Card Player contributors.

Obviously, his tight play has worked well for him in the WSOP. I wish he played

more tournaments. So, I guess my question is why doesn't he play in more

tournaments, like the WPT?

Perhaps the reason we don't see "Action Dan" in more tournaments is because he just might play ring games like Chip Reese. You won't see Chip in too many tournaments, but just any other pro what they think of Chip Reese. Maybe another reason is that Dan Harrington isn't the type of person that is really going to drive ratings. Compare him to Phil Helmuth, Josh Arieh, and Mike Matusow. Dan is not nearly as flamboyant, but a damn good poker player nonetheless.

Yes, Harrington is an excellent poker player... maybe he just doesnt have the time or doesnt feel like playing in any other tournaments because they are scattered throughout the world. Notice that the only tourney he plays all year is the main event at the WSOP... no other events...
