Default bad beats!

I am curios if anyone else has this problem. Every tournament and low stakes table I play,I suffer a bad beat. I played in the 25k tournament almost every night last week and suffered a bad beat every night. It seems to me that if you get put all in by a big stack, that player will beat you no matter what he has. Thebigstack always catches his longshot on the river. It happens so often that I am able to call what the river card will be.I know i'm not the only one with this problem because I see it happen to other people.Three times out of 5 tourneys I was put all in when I had the best hand(big pair vs small pair)and the big stack made his 22to1 set on the river. The other two times my big pair was beat by a 45to1 gutshot on the river. Is it, normal to get that many bad beats, or is something fishy going on.I have played a lot of online poker, and this is only a very small example of the"bad beat" syndrome.I've experienced this on every site I've played on.Its almost like your playing against a computer generated player. Please let me know if anyone else has experieced a lot of this.

It happens to me about 50% of the time when I go allin. I can't stand it, but it happens more in online poker then in live tournaments. At least when I win an allin, I usually get in the top 10% of the tournament. I hope I don't have that many bad beats in the future.

The bad beats do seem to be much higher online then in real tourneys.... I have had way too many of them myself.. I have stopped using real money online due to the beats...

Default See you around - 2+2 and other talk forums

All,

You know me. You've seen my posts and railed against most of them. Still I believe they'll pan out.

Sorry I have to approach you this way. Fonzi has decided that my right to repond to his personal attacks is more than he can bear. I'll be at 2+2 or some other forum where you are allowed to state you opinions and observations, no matter how controversial.

I have come to 1-1 battle with Pokerstars these days and had some observers watch during tournaments today. I can only state that if they can zone in on 1 person they can change the deal. I don't expect you to believe it. So, I'll make a most unusual offer.

I'll selectively choose one or two of you to logon to my Pokerstars account. Play like you play and see if there is a difference. If you make money, I'll find a way to get it to you. I'm not interested in that. I simply want to prove on-line poker is uncontrollable by the user and you are at their mercy. This should not be.

I'd like to see them have to come under USA law to get customers in the US. Perhaps other countries will do the same.

I wish you fair play and a real chance.

I have had tons of bad beats on PokerStars. Here's one:
I have TT, I raise .20 cents
One player reraises .20 cents with AJ
Another player raises 1 dollar with KK
I call, so does the AJ player

So the pot was close to 4 bucks preflop.

The flop goes : J J T

I raise .50 cents, AJ goes all in with about $1.5, the KK raises all-in over that (3$), I call

Turn: 3
River: K
The pot was around 8.50 cents, and i was so mad! I understand why AJ went all in, but why would KK go all-in as well? There was so much raising preflop he could not have thought he had the best hand. AA, JJ, AJ, KJ, QJ, TJ, and TT all had him beat at that point. He said to me "every card in the deck matters." That just made it worse hahha.

i think your confusing a bad beat and a bad player. a bad player can catch a crap hand and you feel its a bad beat but in reality its a bad player catching. a bad beat is losing with a full house to a bigger full house when you filled yours first. a bad beat is losing with a straight flush. having A2 and the 6 coming on the river so the guy holding A7 off wins the pot. happend twice to me this last week BTW. those are bad beats.

I also sometimes find it suspicious when i keep getting called big pots when the guy has a complete longshot, but i agree with homeville in the fact that i dont think that these online sites can be rigged in any way, and thats why i continue to use real money.

In play money, you are going to get people who play everything. When there are players like this, it is inevitable to suffer bad beats. You just have to deal with it. Thats online poker.
