i agree with bottle rocket in that i only use the public freerolls as practice for tournament play, whilst i don't actually expect to make it past 5,991 people to get to the final table, i do learn something new each time i play a freeroll. also, when i play a freeroll i use it as an opportunity to play some hands differently than i would normally play them, this experimenting helps me out on real tournaments. but a word to the wise, don't take any data to heart in the first hour of a public freeroll, because half of the people your playing don't give a damn what happens, and aren't playing seriously. |
