But Stars is the most absured freerolls out there. Ub has the 2500 ones where you get BB that you can earn by playing.. I have won abotu $15-20 worth of these BB.

Absolute ahs a no-raked hand etc.. freeroll that is $50 for free.

I think that 6,000 people is a bit too much but the other day i came 13th and i had to sitout so i woulda came 1-9 easily. But i can see why they want to allow more people to play, its because they are mure fun that just the sit and go's with a max of 45 people. The one thing that they should try and get rid of is the all ins right away and also the sitter. Having 6,000 people playing thake a good 5 hours or more.

i love poker stars and especialy the free rolls....but if they had more tourneys with less ppl it would be awsome....even if they gave out less cash it would be awsome because it is fun to see how you stack up against all those people

This is probably blaspheme, but if you want to get into more freerolls with less people. Join a few more forums. I post in 2 regularly, and this one almost every couple of hours. This allows me to join those freerolls and come into the money alot more often. (Sorry fonz, just not a one forum guy.)

All it costs me is a few thoughts on certain subjects a day. Of course, if you've seen me play, you know how hard that is for me.

i agree with bottle rocket in that i only use the public freerolls as practice for tournament play, whilst i don't actually expect to make it past 5,991 people to get to the final table, i do learn something new each time i play a freeroll. also, when i play a freeroll i use it as an opportunity to play some hands differently than i would normally play them, this experimenting helps me out on real tournaments. but a word to the wise, don't take any data to heart in the first hour of a public freeroll, because half of the people your playing don't give a damn what happens, and aren't playing seriously.

I wish that there was a set limit of people that can sign up for the freerolls at pokerstars. 6000 people in a tournment is ubsurd and they take 4+ hours to finish. A 1000 person freeroll would really be ideal because its not a gigantic amount of people and the tournment would not take hours upon hours to finish.

I saw one yesterday that was a 6000 man freeroll. Started at 1pm and it was still going with about 15 people at 8pm!

7 hours is too long to play a freeroll for a CHANCE at PART of $500!

When I see the freeroll registery showing 5 to 6k I know my work is cut out to break the top 1000. I consider that a challenge. But compare it to Royal Vegas where the freeroll entries are up to 10000. That is intimidating. You can play ps and win the freeroll just to get a spot at another tourney to win money or play rv and win in that particular tourney. If you want to work on the patience part of your game they both give you great opportunities.

I enjoy playing on pokers stars. And I truly agree that they should cut down on the number of participants. I started playing at noon a couple of weeks ago and finished at 7:45. The only reason I finally gave up to 2nd was I desperately needed a port-a-potty. And was grateful for delivery food. And the top 8 winners placed for weekly tourney. I didn't mind playing that long, but sure does take a toll on the body.
