When I try to open pstars it says update failed and internet connectivity problem. Have deleted and reinstalled software and rebooted computer. Everything works except pstars. Emailed their support and havent heard back. Anyone else ever have this happen?

No, it hasn't happened to me. How long have you waited for support to contact you back? You have to give them some time to find the information that you need.

Between 9:17am - 11:50am this morning I've been studying how they can get into my computer. I noted User.ini, Notes.txt, Pokerstars.log and Trace.ini. I happened to click on Trace.ini and it locked up the table. I did it again, it locked up. Then, after I tried the 3rd time, I noted it moved, to Local Settings. We went around quite a bit. Interesting. Perhaps, this also had an effect on you. Don't know. But, I can say, they appear vulnerable, if you locate the live files and click on them. They're expecting feedback and the application gets suspended.
Then, I noted they dropped off pcanywhere-callback in ImgCache. I knocked that out and they stopped dropping off trace.ini. Not related I think, but they knew that I knew.

I'm guessing a new version of PS will be out shortly. If it is, then won't that be something?

Oh, and for those hidden directories and other places they can move to, should you decide to move your PS applications, you can try WebRoot's Spyware. They'll explain everything. Just be sure to clean your system off before reinstalling PS so you can see the types of adware and cookies they drop off.

For Bugs, this same thing happened to me with Jet Set Poker, which I think is owned/run by the same company as PokerStars. I tried to reinstall it but it hasnt worked. I kinda gave up on it since I mostly played on PokerStars.

Shall I do it again? LOL. I'm having a lot of fun at Full Tilt. I'll try another site soon. PS is still BS to me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If they turn the big win button on for me then maybe I'll quiet down. I doubt that will happen.

Blackhawk of course clicking on .ini files is going to lock up the software when you are running the software - .ini files are critical information files for running the software and you can't even view these files if you are not running the software, they are all coded.

Its not just PS .ini files its any software .ini files - earlier versions of Windows would have locked up your computer and you would have had to re-boot.

Their website has gone down a couple of times lately... but that doesnt really explain the internet connectivity thing, but that could be it.
