anyone playing in the wcp?

anyone playing in the world cup of poker on pokerstars? it's great and i can't wait for a shot at rep my state of louisiana. only 50 ffp's. can't really think of a better way to spend them.

When is it? I don't have that many FPPs yet but i might depending on what time the tourney is. What do you win if you win this tourney? Is it a satelite tourney?

Look on the WCP tab, it's really a great idea. I mean, I don't know how well it will work out, but it's certainly unique! Each state's tourney is on a different day, and you have to work your way through quite a few events to get anywhere, but it's really an amazingly fresh idea.

Does pokerstars make sure that you go to the state which you are from, or can you go to any states qualifier. Because my state is Illinois and they have over 100 people in theres but in the Wyoming one there were only 15 players.

I guess this means you should move to the Dakotas or Alaska.

I am in Virginia, and this will be harder.. as I am sure NY,CA and FL will be difficult as well.

I'm planning on getting in one of the Ohio WCP sattelite. Yeah, for only 50 FPP's that is worth getting into. Should be pretty exciting. I love playing in big tournaments. Even though they take a while I think its fun seeing how many people you can outlast.

I made it to the final, should be a bit easier there, way fewer people

Sigh I got into the Game on Wednesday, and it was canceled since less than 20 were in it (11am game) 18 joined.. Sad with 20, 8 would have made it almost a 50% shot...

Gotta agree.It is an improvement on last year's format.Definitely better than a East and West team.Though I gotta admit that I would sympathise with those from the bigger states like California or Texas as they have got a much harder route to getting into the state team than say someone from Wyoming or Delaware.The bit I particularly liked though is that UK is split into 4 teams.And I am from Northern Ireland lol.The bit I particularly dislike though is that I dont have any FPPs hahaha(doh!).Ah well,theres always next year....i hope.
