Default Hosting Tournaments on Pokerstars

the other day one of my friends told me that after awhile of play that you can host your own tournaments in the private tab. He said after you have 2000 fpp you can do that. Is this true or not? Are there any other ways to host tournies?

Yep, your friend is right about having to earn a certain amount of FPPs in order to host your own private Tournament on Pokerstars. I'm not 100% sure what the exact amount of FPPs you have to earn is, as I've had varying amounts, but if no-one in a forum like this can tell you, emailing the staff and asking any one of them should be enough to get you the answer you are looking for.

Last I heard was 2000 FPP. I don't understand this though. If you do host a tourney you don't see any of the proceeds. I would like to see stars give some of the rake to the tourney host.

i doubt any poker site would do that - they would lose out big time
the whole point of them offering this is so that people can arrange games with their friends

Ya i think its 2000 fpp. But i think you may have to E-mail support to get to create a tourney. Ive heard you get a special button.
