In this case LUCKY jackass.
It was a BAD BEAT.
I notice you're not ripping MY move. Feel free to by all means.
I have no regrets HERE on my play in the situation & feel it was yet another lucky pokerstars river!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanX & good night | A lucky catch on the river, sure. But what difference does it make, considering it was a preflop all in, whether the catch was made on the flop, turn, or river? Are you saying, should you have missed the ace on the flop, that you wouldn't be complaining, or talking about his luck?
The fact is, Villain here was getting better than 7:1 odds on his money, and he KNEW he wouldn't have to commit any more chips. Even more, the raise was only 7.8% of his remaining chipstack. Fact is, the ONLY way he can possibly justify a fold in this situation, is if he puts you on EXACTLY JJ. Even against QQ, KK, and AA, he is getting the right odds to call. As it is, you were only a 2:1 favorite in this situation.
It's perfectly fine to belittle "donks" on this forum, it's a great way to let off steam...I just don't see how calling someone who was getting great odds a donk really helps you off. Perhaps it would be more wise looking at how you got so low in the first place? If you had a bigger chipstack (say, around the 9k or 10k mark), perhaps villain would have folded in this situation, as your raise would actually have some sort of value.

| | | | You can feel free to call him whatever u like Ryan. Thats what I like about this place. The whole Free Speach thing. But the only way he's a donk is if he folds.
I do feel ur pain on the "lucky Pokerstars river" comment though.
After this hand I somehow had the urge to go to Hazard County and smack around the first short fat guy in a white suit.

Guy had a 2 outer and he catches both of them......... Jeeeesh. I was short and he had me well covered. He's definitely not a donk for calling. What urks me most is a short time prior I had a decent stack and sitting w/ KK. I was put all-in preflop by an A-6o and lost which made me short to begin with. Its funny how quick the chips can go when the cards are not falling in your favor.

| | | | Damn, that's quite unlucky there B. But, if I may ask...why not just push all your chips in preflop, as it is 3/4 of them are in the middle to begin with...

LOL..... I slid the bar over and my finger came off the "right click" button before I got all the way right. I knew someone would pick up on that.

| | | | Its always annoying when the best hand loses and we do all need to rant about it. He did actually have correct odds to call though so I wouldnt rate him as a donk for that hand - but it did not cost me money so you are free to call him what you want
I like to play in this tourney as I find it good fun and exciting. Unfortunately I missed the last 2 weeks with holiday and having to work (voluntarily) all night last night. I should be in the next two weeks ryan so we can route for each other then. Last time i played this tourney I lost 2 preflop all ins with ax v ax with me having a better kicker each time before when i got short stacked to 4k or so when my kk got busted all in preflop by qq. Lots of all ins , lots of luck in these things but that is part of the fun and when the luck runs good there is big $$ up for grabs.
