Stars, So Far So Good

Since moving on to Stars from Party, I've been very impressed with the site and making a little money. They have a huge crowd (~100K+ players in the evening), great variety of games and most of the players play fast. I am seeing less bad beats at the tables (than at Party or Titan). Usually if I'm ahead in a hand, I win at the River. So Far, So Good. Any other newbies at Stars?

Yeh I'm new at stars also. I've had a good start but then two days when I'm either getting horrible cards, not playing well or I'm getting bad beats, there's a narrow dividing line between the last two, since if I'm not playing well I'm more likely to call it a bad beat lol

I havnt deposited yet and made $40 winnings into $30 in one hand of a THF league game ( Rw and his damned quads- he can't have a six?? unless he has two sixes? nahhh he can't have quads, he's bluffing me cos I'm new to the game...he can't have...he can't...oh he has! oops. nh Rw ) but have since turned that $30 into $106. I've then lost $18 over the last 2 days.

So far, I mostly like what I've seen of the NL $4-40c, 180 seater tourneys. I'm at $88 at the moment so those $4's are pushing my bankroll a bit if I play and lose too many of those.

I'd be interested also to hear from anyone else at stars and how they found it when they first arrived. I've been having a look at stats in Sharkscope and it's amazing how alike that graph looks if you analyze the first 20/30 games or so for random players. Maybe I just happened to choose players with similar stats.


I'm about to deposit, I'm not sure yet of any deposit bonuses they have there at the moment anyone know?

Apparently it's an age verification process at Stars ( Isnt a debit card enough these days?) I would actually like my age verifying because everytime I try to look in a mirror to check my appearance, this old guy jumps infront of me.

Well, I made the 500 FPPs and requested a cashout. PokerStars sent me this email below:
"The reason your cashout was split into smaller amounts is because cashouts
are automatically processed back to the method(s) used to deposit, in the
same amounts as your original purchases.

Credits applied back to previous deposits are processed immediately while
cashouts that are more than the total amount deposited must be reviewed by
our security department before being processed. Please allow up to 72 hours
to receive this portion of your cashout."

So they gave me back $50 right away, then about 6 hours later, I got the balance after they checked to make sure there is no Hanky-Panky. There were two deposits shown in my Neteller acct. Cool with me.

I opened an acct there a year or so ago there but never played there much untill recently when jetset closed down. I am really enjoying it so far but having trouble getting a win there. With jetset and the lower # of players in the tourneys I was winning 2 to 4 tourneys a month. With PS you are up against 1 to 2k players in the lower limit tourneys. I've placed ITM at the MTT about 5 or 6 times but the big win is still elusive.
