Default Silliest SnG's ever
THF Player of the Year
The PokerRoom network now has MAD Tilt All In SnG's. Everyone starts with 60 chips and the blinds are 10/20 and increase every 5 minutes. Winner takes all. Game was over at the second blind level.

This was a waste of my money. I do not understand why these SnG's are so popular. Many players on tilt I guess.

It is easy to understand why they are so popular... because anyone can easily win and it is quick, quick, quick. You are serious about your poker playing and how you play the game... that's fine. After being around for this long though, you should have learned by now that to MOST players it is simply a game and not to be taken seriously. Most players don't want to sit down at a game that is going to take an hour (or six) to finish if they end up winning.

wow that sounds sorta dumb to me! Do they offer these in play chips? I wanna try. moma always said stupid is as stupid does.

Yea they do seem rather pointless...its along the same lines as extreme turbo....simply takes the skill element out of the game and leaves dumb luck

Actually, a measure of skill and I'm sure that over the long term you would show a good profit in these.

Of course I would go completely insane in the short term and probably throw my computer out the window if I tried to play one.

They sound stupid to you because you take poker seriously... what you guys need to get through your head is that many people play simply as recreation. Does that make them stupid? Why? They are just having fun. If there was a $5 "all in or fold" tournament with 1000 people in it I would play in a heartbeat... does that me stupid?

I'm sure there still is a degree of skill, but for good players it would be more profitable to avoid these, and play slower structured tournies where skill will have a greater impact and ultimately lead to a larger profit (well generally anyway).

ofcourse they can be fun to play occasionly to let off steam, but like you, don't think my computer would survive long if i took them up
