12:01 Freeroll

UPDATE ON LAST NIGHTS FREEROLL

Last night PHost had a crash and was unable to polay there usuall 12:01 freeroll. I found out the they will be adding the $500 dollars from last nights unplayed freeroll and are adding it to the 12:01 freeroll and making tonights game worth $1000!!!!!!!!!!! I havent heard if they are doubling the people of pay outs or if they are doubling the amount you in (still just 20 people paying out) I will let yall know and keep yall updated. Hope to see everyone there!!!!

Ok so i ended up talking to the guys at PHost and they said that they got the sever running again and played last nights freeroll!! So there has been a small modify to tonights freeroll

UPDATE: 12:01 freeroll for the night of 4/19 or the morning or 4/20. It will be there normal $500 cash out freeroll but it is back to just 800! Just 800 players so come either 11, 10, or 8, be ready to reg fast!!!!! Gl to all

Hey been a while since i have update on my status with this freeroll. Well two nights ago i got 26!!!! Damn close to the money. Then last night i should have won but another bad beat. 10's in the whole and sum jerk calls with the 8/6 and cauht two pair. OF FREAKEN COURSE. Ended up getting 48!!

I thought I'd throw in an update on this freeroll too since I played it last night and noticed a couple things different.

First off, the max number of entrants now is 1200 instead of 1000, although it still didn't fill up (I think 1093 is what I saw) it is getting more popular.

Also, I'm pretty sure (though I could be wrong) after last night that Pokerhost doesn't play the tables hand by hand when it gets close to the money. I was shortstacked big time in about 50th place (35th pays, something else different) and I started stalling every hand just to see if I could close the gap some. Another short stack at my table started doing the same (he finished 35th) and another dude at the table helped us out at the end, and sure enough, I made the money (34th) without it ever asking to play the tables one hand at a time.

Of course, it might not have displayed the message that normally shows up telling you 'they're playing the tables that way close to the money to ensure fairness' because we were probably the table everyone was waiting on, and when we were done it might have just started playing the next hand. I'm just not positive on it.

But just in case the former was actually working, it's something to keep in mind if you find yourself in the same position.

Ya. The max number of entries is 1200, but (the onyl site i know to do it) I will remove you from your chair if you dont either: Take your seat or dont play for 10 mins. Which is really cool and gets rid of a lot of the "bad" players or the ones we dont like.

Now im not too sure about your time stalling thing. Maybe oyu can explain it more?? That would be great. Also what is your name on PHost?

I'm mike5322 on Pokerhost too as well as pretty much all other stuff.

Regarding the stalling - I've noticed that on other sites, when you get close to finishing in the money, they wait for all tables to finish their hands before they move on with the tourny. That ensures fairness because otherwise people could stall (take the max amount of time on every decision) on every hand and wind up playing fewer hands than another table. If a few people are doing it then it really adds up to a lot of time. And the end result being you see fewer blinds and stay in the tourny longer.

I didn't see Pokerhost do that (play the tables hand by hand) last night. But it might be for the reasons I said before. Next time I'll just go to another table during the whole thing and see if they're being held up or not. Something I should have done last night but didn't think about it.

No PHost has never done "hand by hand" (i know got what your saying) PStars does it in their big money tourneys. PHost i have never seen do it as far as the freeroll i have played in. So what oyu did was wrong but PHost hasnt set up something to stop that.
