| 3 AM $50 3 team parlay at PokerHost Poker Host | |

| | | | 3 AM $50 3 team parlay at PokerHost I thought I would drop a little note about a tournament I recently won.
Last Sunday night, I entered the PokerHost $50 3 team parlay at pokerhost. After being short stacked most of the game, I managed to come back and win this tournament. Which was extremely lucky, because it only pays out to the winner. Unfortunately, I didn't understand what the prize was. The prize is actually a 3 team bet on another site, a sportsbook, where you will bet point spreads. You have to choose 3 winners to have any chance at cashing in on this.
Well, Monday morning, I spoke with live help at PokerHost. They sent me a form to fill out and I returned it to them in a couple of hours with all my information. They informed me that the site would be sending me an email for notification of account status.
After 4 day, I finally received the email. But, it wasn't an account verification. They were saying I had no account and no bet with them. I spoke to PokerHost and was informed that they would handle the problem.
This morning, after almost a week, I called SBG (the sportsbook) to check on the status of my prize. After 45 minutes with the rudest, most unintelligible customer service representative I have ever had the displeasure to meet, I finally got my prize. Now came the actual betting of the ticket.
As I looked through the lines, I noticed that most of the point spreads were far from the norm. Almost to the point of laughable jokes. (a side note, I have my own bookie, and I know what the actual point spreads are, these were far from reasonable spreads)
My teams:
Oklahoma State -2 (I won, although most teams had OSU a 4 point fav)
Arizona -2 1/2 (I don't care after it was all said and done)
St. Joseph +2 1/2 (a six point underdog EVERYWHERE else, I lost)
So, my take on this freeroll. Don't enter it unless you are really into sado-masochistic pleasure. The payoff doesn't exist and is more of a fight than it is a reward.
I worked hard to come back in that tournament. It set off a very good win streak for me and had me in a very good mood for several days. For it to end on this note is depressing to say the least. I'm still flabbergasted to think that after all the hard work, all I got out of it was bragging rights. This is very disturbing to me.
But, live and learn I guess.

| | | | Very interesting. i was told by players in that freeroll that you could use the $50 prize to play at the tables at Pokerhost. That you didn't HAVE to make the 3 team bet. Were they wrong? Did Pokerhost ever give you the opportunity to use the money at the poker tables? | |

| | | | No, they informed me that the only prize was the bet. If you won the parlay, you could then transfer that money to the Pokerhost tables. But, only if you win. | |

| | | | It's my understanding you can only use it to lay a parlay bet. However, they do offer other freerolls you guys can win. I would stay away from that parlay freeroll. The odds on parlays are absolutely awful! Especially with bad lines.
Here is MY somewhat comprehensive list of FREEROLLS. Free as in FREE. NO rake requirements, NO player points requirements, just free. Many sites offer "FreeRolls" that are not free....need a certain # of raked hands to play, etc. GOOD LUCK ALL!

| | | | Royal Vegas as a 15,000 person freeroll? Geez that would take about 2 days to play and with 5 min breaks you would pass out or have your family kill you. | |

lol fonz its only aht freeroll thats really bad. right now they are finishing up 96 freerolls in 24 hours over there. it was a lil bannanas a a lil rocky at times, but an overall success id say. i have no beef with the site, they are jus getting used to having traffic, and tehy got some big name pros signing up soon. not to be like tooting poker hosts horn, cause its not my favorite, but its hardly bad, jus support is retarded.
