If you go to site it thens asks you to fill out a form with all your information.

Once you click send you get a popup message that says ..

This is the message on the Poker Host information window:

Dear Clients, Readers and Followers:

We would like to give everyone the official version of what happened with our web site, www.pokerhost.com.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2006 at 4:18 CST a breach of security occurred at a REGISTRAR level. The account where this URL is registered, handling all DNS, contact, and such, information was tampered with and changed without the consent of the LEGAL owners of the account, and of course URL. It was at that time re-directed to an free hosting service located in Florida, USA. The page that you currently see is nothing but a regular html file that simulates a pop-up page, by looking closely to the code of the page we could see that in reality is a regular page with a picture background of our front page.

What we have been able to determine at this time from the registrar is that they are undergoing a thorough investigation to give back FULL CONTROL of the Poker Host name and URL. We expect a final resolution of this incident within the next hours. We hope to have this issue remedied and FULLY amended. We will pursue the person, people or any associates involved in this matter to the fullest extent of the law.

Infringement on the rights of the legal owners of web sites and/or any users, visitors, clients and organizations affected by these flagrant disregards of private, intellectual and/or physical property should be brought to justice; regardless of the origin of the business that is operated by the owners of any URL(s).

As you have been able to see, on all these forums and posting sites, the current look and information of the site are completely fraudulent in nature. In essence, Poker Host’s web site has been hacked and hijacked. As you can see, there is form placed on the URL, which supposedly “harvests” any one persons information and supposedly sends to the FBI. This is totally false!

WE URGE ANY USERS AND/OR VISITORS TO NOT FILL ANY INFORMATION OUT SINCE WE HAVE NO GUARANTEE OF WHAT THIS INFORMATION MAY BE USED FOR!!

We hope this sheds some light on the problem at hand. We hope to be able to continue with our normal operations once these matters have been resolved. We are currently working on bringing up a backup site at www.pokerhost.ws where you can find the REAL Poker Host web site. Fell free to contact us or send us an e-mail at any of our usual account names and just change the ending for .ws. I.E. support@pokerhost.ws.

Our kindest regards,

Poker Host Management Staff

Now thats scary that the registrar itself was hacked. I wonder who they registered thier domain through.

Yeh, to me, hacked=not secure=I don't want my money there. I would withdraw all funds from pokerhost immediately, and never play on their tables again.

As I understand it, their site was not hacked, the registrar that allows them to have the domain pokerhost.com was hacked so someone stole the domain from them, and made thier own pokerhost.com

But if that is true I wonder who they registered it with. I have never heard of a registrar being hacked.

Unhappy

Begs the question...."If they can do it to one poker site"....????

I wouldn't say P.H is to blame for this....and by what's posted they seem to be being very open and honest about it........so at least they are doing what they can to retain customer's...........If you have never had a problem with them B4 this then I see very little reason to leave them now.........when all said and done there has been a new hacker's loophole exposed and I'm sure they will/have fixed the issue, with things now put in place to prevent it happening again....!!!

Well until the hackers find a new way to hack it and when they do I'm sure they will pick on a completely different Room.

IMO of course (Xtra )

Sources close to PokerHost.com confirmed this afternoon with **********.com that employees with password access to the domain name had hijacked the PokerHost.com website, adding the ominous message.

Poker players are advised not to enter their personal information when accessing PokerHost.

"Unfortunately the owners of PokerHost.com and SBG Global (the well established gaming company that manages PokerHost) are having a tough time getting the domain name back due to the fact that this occurred overseas," a representative disclosed. "The minimum time period we anticipate for this to be switched back over will be two days."

The General Manager of PokerHost.com was terminated a few days ago.

He and another suspect are currently under investigation
