Slightly off topic but not massively.

I tried cashing out yesterday and got an email stating I had "breached a threshold" or something and was unable to cash out. One quick and polite email to support and 15 minutes, yes 15 minutes, I had a reply from a really nice guy from support who confirmed the email was sent in error and that my funds would be in my account within 12 hours. True to his word, the funds were there within 4. Good support if you ask me!

I suppose if you put it that way it was pretty crap! I'm out of there anyway! Some features were ok (the rabbit thing) but I was sat in a $5 SnG for 35 mins before it started, just not busy enough for me.

you know, I was actually considering putting money into this site, even just for the odd thf game when I'm done my hockey season, but I'm pretty skeptical on doing so now. I think I'll look in FullTilt or somewhere else. One site does $5 thf games, I wouldn't mind playing those... a $200 bankroll doesn't feel comfortable to me playing $10 games...

Default referall problem about poker.com

Hello everyone. I also have a problem with this site and yeah, like many others said, with their support team.
They are just to busy to give me a straight forward answer about their referall system.
I've introduced a friend of mine to this site and now he wants to make his one account and I thought i might take advantage of their referal program.
It's $50 and I thought it might cover for all the hassle my friend put me thru (he knew nothing about online poker and he spent one full day at my place breathing down my back).
So, I sent them a email asking them how does that referal system works (how much does he have to deposit, do I have to do something to clear that bonus, is there a code my friend should use when he registers etc.)
Althoghu they replied very quickly the response was absolutely void regarding solutions: I should go to my player admin, check the referall program and follow the steps.
Can someone help me in this matter and also, can someone tell me if there is a cupon (or code) my friend should use when he registers (not a deposit code)?

Poker.com has a pretty clear setup for referals. They are throughly explained in the player admin area.

I won't list the steps you need to do to complete the process because that would defeat the purpose of them having an extra section in thier website explaining it. Just log into the player admin section of thier website with your user name and password, then click the "refer a friend" link on the left pane.

-----

On another note, THF is an affiliate of poker.com so we will not let you advertise your referal link. All of our special games are funded through members signing up under THF to poker sites. We urge members to support THF by using our links so we can bring special exclusive events for THF members.

Good luck getting it to work

Hello. thanks for your replay. I wasn't trying to advertise my referral link. By far that wasn't my intention. I was trying to understand how will they understand that I was the referral.
My technical knowledge (which are not that much) send my thoughts to the fact they implement a cookie into the system of the person that downloads the program from my page. Being a software client created using flash I thought it had to send them a note that the same IP that downloaded the software was the same person that created the account. This lead me to think that I am lucky my friend doesn't use dial-up in which case the IP changes every time u reconnect to the Internet.
This lead my to thinking that my friend should make his account from his own computer so I won't be able to help him with that (he asked me to create his account on my own computer)

I won't try to debate about all this techincal issues, I was just asking if someone else used their referral program and if they had any problems!

Thanks for your answer quick answer and I am open to any informations anyone might have!

To recieve credit for the referal, they need to download the client from the link you give them (the one in your player admin area). They will need to be on thier own computer. They will download the software from your referal link, and once they sign up you get credit for them, whether their IP changes or not. They will need to play a certain amount of raked hands before you get your money.

Hope that helps,

-Cowboy

Sorry to disagree with you Cowboy, but there is no need for the referred friend to have to create his account from his own computer, it is preferred but it is not necessary. Create the account for him Kree, and then go to his house and download the software for him. Make it easy for him, he only has to clear 100 raked hands for you to get your 50$ referral, but if you want to really be a part of this community and contribute all that you can, have him sign up to this forum, and use the link that is provided by this forum. Afterall, it is through sign ups via this site for poker rooms such as poker.com, that the FONZ is able to provide us all with the $ added games at many different sites.

Welcome to the site and i hope that you can contribute as much as you take from here. In case you are wondering, it is I that referred you to this, the greatest forum on Poker on the NET bar none.
