| | | | it is actually extremely easy for them to do that once they have your credit card details and unlike most americans who use netteller regularly most of us over here in europe do not but use credit cards - that worked fine since last may - that is when i joined them, deposited and withdrew quite a few times in fact - no problem - then in december, on the 30th, i tried to deposit money and they suddenly wanted to verify me - but again, not as straightr forward unless american - they wanted to know the random dollar amount they had deposited in my account, a few cents - but of course in the statement us europeans do not have dollars showing - so it was impossible to verify that way - so then - back to help - they say there will also be an ID number in statement next to the poker.com entry - back to statement - bt again, outside american we get no such code - back to help - u have to remember here that each time, despite claiming they have 24 hour help and claim to answer 'most' things within 35 minutes, of course they dont, not at all- so, anyway, back to them, by that time i have waited ages etc, so they say ok, u have got to email a copy of your passport, with photo - when i refused to do that - i dont believe that is safe, and also refused to fax my passport - in my opinion none of their business in the first place, i asked repeatedly - with the wait each time in between each email, if that definitely meant the deposit i had tried to make would not go through. they said 3 times in 3 seperate emails that it could and would not go through seeing that it was neither quthorised nor verified.
4 days later i check my statement and there it is, they have taken it anyway - but it has not appeared in my poker.com account either, that money is not there - so, back to the so-called help - they dont reply for more than 24 hours, then tell me they have not got it - so i email them sending them a copy of my private statement - no answer - so i send it again starting to get peeved - while i am waiting for another non-answer i ring my bank - they say, yes, they definitely took it, it is definitely gone to poker.com, absolutely no doubt about it. so, back to emailing poker.com..... u did ask for how come....
so, back to emailing poker.com - they say they will look into it. i hear nothing. i email again and again, finally an email saying they havent got a copy of my bank statement. So i send that again. no answer. i write another 2 emails - i put the word fraud into the heading of the 3rd email and get an answer within about 2 minutes telling me they havent got my statement. i send it again. i am told they will look into it - this is now 5 days ago - nothing for 24 hours, i email again, no ansa, again, no ansa - and yes, i was as frigging bored by this time as u are with this story by now - and fed up and angry - anyway - long and short of it is, they have still got my money, they have had 4 guys all 'looking into it' or 'passing it onto the manager' each time with no answer at all. my bank in teh meantime says it has got to be reported which i have done, as a dispute with the crdit card company and also with their fraud department - in the meantime i tried to get them to just give me my money back so i can go and play some poker - elsewhere - no answer of course. so tonite i did post about 8 times on their forum about the lack of customer support - was told by some readers i had written poetry and then got banned, got told to 'grow up' and that 'somebody was going to deal with my problem' - well, yes, that somebody has been me i think - since then poker.com is quiet again and i guess i will not see it voluntarily returned to me and neither will i ever see an apology and neither will they ever ever ever see me play poker there. i know a place or 10 where you get support and help if you needed and actually better poker games as well, for one, games that dont crash and where they dont take unauthorised money from you.
so, that is my story - now it might be time not to question me but to question them.....

| | | | thanks elvis, exactly
what i find strange is how everywhere people always seem to really assume i just do this out of spite or something - i am certainly not doing this for fun but a) i really dont want them to have the money that is rightfully mine especially after the way they treated me, b) i have now felt that unsafe with them having my details that i have had to change all of my details as i dont want them to be able to do it again quite clearly and c) my son actually also closed his account with them and so did 2 of my friends - not only due to my experience but they were also unhappy there, but probably still influenced by my story - but my son also wrote to them, 3 times, each time got a very fast reply, each time was told ' someone will look into it' - they are apparently still looking very hard.
no, but why i am going to all this trouble to now write about this as well must be obvious, i want a) my money back and b) to warn others not to trust anyone and if it says 24 hour help, it means absolutely sweet fa (they actually say no question too small or too big - they forgot to state, unless it is our fault, sorry is a word that is not spoken where we live)...
so, off now to play some poker at my favourite site - no guesses where i am not heading....

| | | | It still is strange...depositing a few cents in your bank account and then you verrifying how much they deposited is something that Neteller does to make sure it is really your bank account...I do not know of any Poker site that does this...If you tried to use Neteller which it appears that you have...the money is probably there...Neteller want's the verification to prove that it is your bank account, however they do let you use the service giving you about a week to verify before they cut it off.....in most cases these ideas of ripp off's are unjustified and if one looks through all the processes that he has gone through, he will find what really happened.....for instance, does your bank account show Poker.com as the payee for this amount or another name and #2 how much money are we talking in US dollars?...you need to back up look at all the processess that you tried then look there for the money. I am still not aware of any possibile way of depositing money in your Poker.com acount by them directly withdrawing it from your bank account!...you need to look at what you really did!
Show me on Poker.com below where there is an option for direct Poker.com / your bank transactions!

| | | | have you tried caling them on the phone garlix?
There is no way they can elude you in a voice to voice conversation. They may have gave you the run around through email, which they have never done for me, but you call them up and they are stuck with you and have to deal with the problem at hand.
You say, "i'm faxing it right now, please give me your fax number so i can double check its the right one". Then say stay on the phone to confirm the fax went through. There is no way out.
I have never had a problem with any company because when i get the run around I call them on the phone and work it out right then and there.

| | | | dont you think I have done that? did you not read that i actually sent them my private, personal bank statement? that is the same personal, private bank statement that says highlighted POKER.COM on it as the people who took the money? and it is nothing to do with netteller, although yes, fool that i was when i first started withdrawing money from poker.com i opened a netteller account because although poker.com used to accpet money within minutes by credit card, they werent quite as easy or quick to take it back out and it took days to go via netteller. you seem to think the american way here again, whatever applies to you applies to all others and it does not - and we are talking 50 dollars here, too much in my opinion to just give them as a birthday present. if someone was to take 50 dollars out of your purse at the supermarket checkout you would question yourself huh even though they have given you a receipt (my statement AND my call, at my cost, to my bank, twice) for absolutely nothing - you then show them the receipt and they dont just deny having taken the monehy even though you saw them do it, they then also seem to think no answer is the answer.....
telephone, oh yes, how i would love to yell at them on the telephone - but i cant find a telephone number anywhere - can you? if you can, please do let me know where cause although it will be a continent away, hec, i would love to get my hands on that number...... but that is s elusive as their so-called 24 hour help unless i have walked straight past that one - if you find it please do let me know.....

| | | | Garlix, you are feeding me this information about a site that has given someone $50 back for disconnecting in the middle of a tournament which is totally his fault not poker.com Yet they didn't want to lose this customer so they reimburst him after he went off on them for days. I have also seen many other cases where poker.com have taken care of problems that have arised with money.
I can prove these instances too, so I don't buy your case you state here. I'm not going to do it all for you, email them and ask them for a phone number. I asked for a phone number and they gave it to me. They will do the same for you.

| | | | right, that is actually the one simple thing i did not think of to ask them outright for their phone number and yes, i will definitely try that although why they would answer my emails now when they havent before i dont know - but i can always get my son to do that as well
if you dont believe me either simply because they paid someone else - fine, your perogative - i find it amazing how everyone always seems to believe tghe company never the player - and yes, i have seen whingers whiners adn bad beaters - but i must have gone to some length to make this up - heck - i of course cant prove this to you because i am of course absolutely not going to publish a little pic of my private bank statement to equal craps pretty pic of the paying in methods - i also did not really expect to need verification 8 months after having payed there and having deposited and withdrawn several times before this episode - but just wait til it happens to you and then try and talk about it - hell, will you be in for a shock, question the robbed not the robber seems to be the motto - is quite unreal this whole thing - i give up, is now in the hands of the bank anyway and thank god they are more than willing to follow this up and thank god they more than believe me, they think it must be reported and must be looked into
lets hope you can rely on your bank - because the day will come where others will find out that you certainly cant rely on poker.com. the odd 50 dollars to the odd disconnected player, how cool, so happy for your mate - but that does not give me my 50 dollars back that was taken from me without either authorisation or verification
anyway, got to go to bed, work in a few hours, and yes, will try and get the phone number but that is the end for me here - i have done enough justification for their unauthorised money taking - had enough, cant do this email thing all over again and then be accused of being right down stupid to boot

If you buy a pair of shoes from Bill's Shoe Store and charge it on Visa....your Visa statement has Bill's Shoe store on it....your bank doesn't have Bill's Shoe store on it!
If you use your Visa card to deposit money on a poker site the Visa card shows the money sent to the poker site....your Bank account does not show the poker site.
If you use Neteller as a wire Transfer from your bank account to them...then the money is transfered form your bank to Neteller and you then have to deposit at the poker site by requesting it from Neteller.
I showed you the cashier options for poker.com in the USA..there is no direct Poker.com / your bank option....if it is different in your country, please post a picture of the cashier options for Poker.com in your country!.

ah crazy, it doesnt huh? are you all nuts? why would i do this? oh, and i emailed them earlier immediately asking for a phone number as yet no reply - somehow doubt they will give it to me to be honest cause of the multi-posting on their board earlier - but that was done in desperation of not getting anywhere
and again crap DO NOT assume what happens to you and in your country is what happens in the rest of the world!!!!!
and dont tell me what happened to me when it did not - that is my actual statement above - if you want to know a reference at my bank i suggest you ask for my phone number nicely and call me so i can refer you to my bank - would you then believe me? probably not, you would probably think i would go even further than you seem to think i have gone already and set up some sort of banking operation just for you
bed, bye, have a nice time at poker.com and enjoy - do email me the day you get asked for verification after months of playing - ah mind you, you ar fine, you are american, you use netteller so nevermind, have a nice time and sod all those who get ripped off by poker.com such as me huh? | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread
