Cool Bad beat turned good

I was playing live at a 1/2 NLHE table when the following hand came around. I was stacking nearly $125 UTG. I had KK and raised to $8. Everyone folded to MP who raised to $20 total. He was a very aggresive player who would raise with anything. Everyone then folded to me. I decided to go for a smooth call and then a check raise on the flop if an ace didn't hit. The Flop came 3s 5d 10c. I checked and he bet out $30. I reraised to $85 (the rest of his money). He instantly(?) called. The turn was a 6s and the river a Jd. He flipped over Js 3s. I mucked my hand fairly quickly and tried to play it off as I didn't have a hand anyways. About an hour later I was back up to about $150 and was +2 UTG. I looked down and had aces this time. Since there was a limper already in the pot (UTG) I pushed it up to $12. The same guy decided to reraise me, this time to $30. He had been pushing people around all game and had built up a fairly large stack ($225 or so). Everyone folded to me, including the limper so I thought it was a perfect time to try and bust this guy. I smooth called and checked my flop, As 9c 5c. He bet on $45 and I immediately reraised all in just as I had done before. He instantly(?) calls again and flips Ah 5d in my face, before the turn and river are dealt out. He almost started to take his bet back before I flipped over my cards and took the whole pot. He ended up busting out a bit later when another player slow rolled jacks full and took all his cash.

Smile mikey, what were u thinking???

If you did indeed have KK and the board was 3 5 9 5 J. Then my friend you have Kings and 5's, leaving him with Jacks and 3's. In my book, your the winner man so I think you have the flop wrong if you mucked your cards. Anyway, better luck next time and keep up the great play!!!

Thirty seconds probably isn't enough of a separation. I can type out enough to keep my busy for those thirty seconds and not really notice the difference. You might want to consider upping the posts...of course, not until I have enough. It's tough to find enough to talk about for twenty five, but I really do enjoy the site, nicely done.
