Default Who Knew About This

Perhaps it was the Super Bowl that covered this...but Andy Beal was in Vegas to play $50000/$100000 blinds Heads-up Limit Hold'em poker. This guy is my new hero. By himself he played the pros of "The Corp" in a series of Limit Hold'em Heads up matches. Starting chips, $10,000,000. for more info go to this thread on the bluff magazine site http://www.bluffmagazine.com/forum/f...50&PN=1&TPN=25

Andy Beal proposed this game to Doyle almost 2 years ago, details were argued over as to what casino to play the game.Beal wanted New orleans or Biloxi. He is an old time pro, thinking the younger players today are weak.Doyle and him have a long standing feud.Wish I was there to watch him get his but kicked, dont make him your hero he is a jerk.Keith

Keith, you are mistaken. He is a texas multi-millionaire who challenged the best pros in the world to play the ultra high stakes limit holdem. In 2004 he played and was able to beat chiu chiang and johnny chan successfully. This year he played Jennifer Harman, Ted Forrest, Todd Brunson, and David Grey. Ted Forrest played most of the match and was very sucessful versus him. The Corp won 3,000,000 dollars this time. It may seem much but 30BB is nothing for a 5 day game. This guy does have skill on this.

All this is detailed in the book "the Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King" I bought it about 2 months ago. It is a great read, and well worth the hard cover price.
