Default Re-buy MTTs

How do u guys play these kind if MTTs ? Ive played in a couple and before the re-buy closes ive seen a lot of ppl trying to grow their stack by going all in with any 2 cards. Whats the best way of approach in this period before the first break ?

I would say to re-buy right away and start with 3000 chips. Then i play almost every hand just limping and even calling 5xBB raises if atleast 2 other people do. After the re-buy period it is all aggression from me.

The only multiple rebuy tourny I play is the $3 at Stars which is just crazy... I will limp with anything 90% of the time and if 3 or more people are all in in front of me I will call regardless of my cards (9-2, doesnt matter) unless I already have a stack of 10K or more. Any pair or big aces I will call all in preflop (hell Ill call all in with 87 depending on how lucky I feel ). I don't mind spending $30 on these tournys if I must but lately I haven't spent over $12. Just remember, the game doesn't start until after the 1st break.

If you don't plan on rebuying staying away is the best thing... example: if the tourny gets 1500 players there are going to be 5000 rebuys

I saw that you had 30K chips the other day Fink, but you were sitting out. Why?

That was last night, I hit for 9K the 4th hand, built it up to 13,500 right before break and the last two hands before break had AA back to back and got callers to my all in and held for 30K at break... I may have been a hand or 2 late getting back from break? In any case Im sure I didnt sit out for more than a hand or two...

Oh, Maybe. Right after i saw that you were sitting out i left, but then i came back a little while later and you were playing, so you are probably right. I am watching you right now in the Limit tournament and you are playing a hand and then sitting out right after the hand. Nice. LOL.

LOL my stats:

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 109 hands and saw flop:
- 1 out of 13 times while in big blind (7%)
- 0 out of 13 times while in small blind (0%)
- 3 out of 83 times in other positions (3%)
- a total of 4 out of 109 (3%)
Pots won at showdown - 2 of 3 (66%)
