Default This one sucked

Probably my worst bad beat in a tourney...it was only a $3 one, but I had scraped and clawed and was still alive - barely - and managed to make the money despite not really playing all that well. What I mean is I had a few good hands that I misplayed and didn't win as much as maybe I could have. Should have taken advantage when I could. Anyway there were 2,174 entries so even for a $3 tourney there was some money to be made.

I was down to about $1,500 with the blinds 600/1200 I think. Went all in with A-Q suited, no brainer of course, against Q-Q and got an Ace on the flop and another on the turn. Bad beat for the other guy but it was for a very small pot. But that pot got me kick-started, I won 4 of the next 6 and suddenly I was up to 24K and 56th of 136. Three of the four I had A-A, Q-Q and A-K suited.

Next hand I get Q-Q yet again. Damn. Blinds now 1000/2000. One player calls for 2000, all folds to me, I am dealer. I make it 10,000, blinds fold, original caller calls. Flop is rags, rainbow. He checks, I bet about 6000 I think, he raises to 12K, I go all in, he calls. He's got K-Q suited. 49K pot.

Do I need to say what fell on the river? ARRRRGGGGGHHHHH.

If he had had A-A, K-K, I could have accepted that. Even a pair lower than mine that he caught on, that happens. But losing to a bad raise and a worse call, that blows. Oh well.

p.s. - just got ko'ed from tonight's Malamoney tourney, came in 14th of 145. Guy raised one bet, I went all-in with not much left, I think I was 12th of 15 at the time. He calls and has A-A vs. my T-T. Didn't bother me at all, I can accept that.

But I hope I NEVER lose with anything similar to Madman's loss to those running deuces. That was sick, and really cannot be topped.
