| | | | You have AA You are dealt AA. It is the first 15 minutes of a $20,000 tournament with 1,000 players. You have 1,500 chips. Do you go all in and risk everyone folding? Do you make a substantial bet? Do you match the highest bet?

| | | | Re: You have AA I personally have never felt that AA is an automatic All-In. If you're short stacked, then yeah. But early on in the tournament this is a dangerous hand to have since it is so easy to go for the gusto. Slow play it. If it looks like you could get beat by a lucky draw, then maybe the time to chase off arrives. AA does not always win. I've been burned by them more than I'd like to admit. | |

| | | | Re: You have AA .10/.25 NL table. Had AA my BB. a few raises and reraises, I go all in $25. Everyone already in calls. Won over $75. Biggest win I've ever seen on .10/.25 table. ;D | |

| | | | Re: You have AA NEVER SLOW PLAY AA this is never the right play....if u feel like "slow" playing them only double the blind.... it will at least give u an idea of what the calling opponets may have u dont want to flat call and allow all suited cards and PP to see flop with many people in the pot you r going to get screwed over hard.....I like the 3x BB raise with AA I dont give out free cards with AA either the reason is it seems like AA likes to get cracked on PS. Slow play low PP NOT HIGH! you will win in long run.

| | | | Re: You have AA Early on in a tourny, I like to raise AA about 3x or 4x a blind. With this moderate raise, you can see those who may be loose and tight. If someone reraises you, then you have the option of going all in and being a substantial favorite, or raising a significant amount in order to scare him out of the pot. I personally would like to not show my AA, so that the other players do not see how much I raise with it. I would rather them see my cards when I raise with AK, AQ, just to always keep them guessing. | |

| | | | Re: You have AA ok, my 2 cents worth,
I think the answer depends on many different factors (i.e. position, how many callers/raisers in front of you, etc.. )
My opinion is, I want ONE person to the flop with me.. I think that's true of all pairs.. I don't like having more than that EVER.. the odds of a paired flop (giving a player trips) OR someone else flopping a set need to be reduced as much as possible.
So... Early position (3rd str) 4-5x raise
Mid position... no callers- 3x raise... 1-2 callers, no raiser, 4-5x raise--- raiser in front, reraise 3x...
Late position.... no callers- limp... other situations, same as mid pos...
Well, there's my first post, Thx knightyme..
