 Not so bad, but...
OK...not really a good "bad beat" story, but I'd like to vent just a little anyway.
I've only been playing for a month or so and had been commenting on the fact that I had yet to see a pair of Aces on my first two cards. I finally saw them last night and raised as I should on the flop and built up a nice pot. The turn came Q-J-9, so of course I knew there was a straight possibility (then again, I was one of them). With that in mind, I raised again and forced out all but one player. When the 10 came on the river, the other player bet out, and I called. He had K-6. and made his gut shot straight. Uggh. I can't believe he hung around for that, but I guess that's 3/6 for ya.
As a said, not a terrible beat, but it was still a sad ending to my first pair of Aces. Could I just a get a little "awwwwww," please? |
