| Party Poker "occurrence" Playing Online | |

| | | | Party Poker "occurrence" Tell me if this doesn't sound fishy. Last year I was playing in the Party Poker final tournament that pays out seats into the cruise tournament. It payed three places and we were down to six players. Limit holdem, the blinds were high enough that a call to the river would pretty much end your chances of making top three. I raised late position with a pair of tens. This player (Miss Muffet if I remember correctly) calls my raise with a 7-4 offsuit! Why in the world would anyone basically put their tournament life on the line three seats away from the prize with a shit hand like this?
You can probably guess what happens next: the flop comes 5-6-2, the turn is the 9 and the river is, yes, the 8. This player bet it all the way, and with no over cards I just called and screamed when she turned over the 7-4. I also picked up my chair and threw it across the room in disgust. I just believe that no one in their right mind, who had come this far in a major cash tournament would call that hand heads up against a raiser, and one hand before a break at that. It seemed fishy to me.

| | | | It never fails! I was playing in a SNG last night ($50) and the top 3 get paid. It was down to 4 players, I get pocket kings. The person before me goes all in - i call. He turns over 2 7 - I'm thinking what an idiot! Well, like you it flops 7 7 j. unbelievable - i was so mad last night - i just don't get it. I Feel your pain. | |

| | | | I think that's when you report them as a cheater. No one, especially not someone who has any skill would call with that hand. That's an absolute ridiculous hand. Either they're using a program to cheat (which I'm guessing is the case), or they're paid by party poker to cheat and win.

| | | | i've seen it toooooooo many times myself. until you can find the program you cannot do anything to prove your point.... once you find the program you are tooooo busy making up for the money you've lost to others who had the program b4 u. hense it never gets reported | |

| | | | i dont buy it -- there is no such thing as cheating in online poker. a program to help you win? i dont think its possible... and as for party poker or poker stars or whatever online tables you play -- i highly doubt that they pay ppl to cheat for them... what if they got caught? im sure they make plenty of money without screwing over ppl they dont even know. the 2/7, maybe he was bluffing and got caught but lucked out -- the 7/4, maybe the same thing? i dont know what to tell you, but i dont buy into cheating... just doesnt seem possible. | |

| | | | Hackers can keep putting viruses onto computers, and take their credit card information and whatever and keep one step ahead of the people who are trying to stop them, why couldn't one of these hackers program something in order to give you an edge in a poker room? It seems very possible to me, although the risk is probably not worth the reward.
There doesn't seem to be any logical reason that someone would stay in a hand like that unless they KNOW they are going to come out on top. It does sound very suspicious, and I wouldn't play there again if I were you.

| | | | I too, have had this happen too many times to be "random". It is getting very scarey to risk real money on line, with the possibility out there that some players have the computer savey, to be cheating some how. My worst one was getting knocked out of a cash tourney, by having my all in called by a player, not even in the binds , with 5 2 off, only to make a boat. I agree with the above post, who makes that bet, or stays in with such a crappy hand, unless they have the knowledge of what is to come? | |

| | | | PS to above post: I had pocket aces, and position, hence the all in call | |

| | | | Ouch that sucks, I myself cant see someone betting to end with 7 4 off, but it has happened to me and Im sure all of us before. | |

| | | | That just sucks man, what can you do, as my good friend Bill FillMaff often says "I dont lose, I only lose to bad beats" Thats what this is man, and that sucks but hey thats poker lol! Dont play on cheating sites! | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
