Default Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm not a bad player. I'm going to start off by saying that.... I have no problem getting deep into tournaments with buyins ranging from .10 to 10+1.. my problem that once I make the cash my frame of mind changes. I still play the same but I try to see more hands then I should and go all in with pp's when I shouldnt. Its like my brain says "I've made the cash so now it doesnt matter" Ive won tournaments before and final table many times, but Its harder for me to keep my playstyle consistant.. Any tips?

It's tilt. I lost most of mine when I developed a system.

Poker is situational, but you can know (for example) that if you get down to 12BB or less you'll go all in with K10 or higher if folded around to on the button.

You can know to bet the flop for 1/2 to 2/3 the pot with top pair top kicker unless the board's really scary or there's fishy betting. Some structure helped me, and I learned the structure here at THF and talking with it's members.

It sounds like you already do pretty well, just know what you'll do in advance, then you can learn to go with your gut after the structure.

Are you sure that is what is happening? Many players tighten up as they near the bubble. So, are you comparing your post bubble play to just pre bubble or are you comparing to your early play as well?

I think I know what you mean - I remember my first few final tables, where I was chip leader but finished about 7th due to totally losing the plot and playing like a donk maniac! When the money gets decent and you get near to winning I think the pressure sometimes gets to you and you do dumb stuff.…

I guess only a lot of playing experience will stop it completely.

Another thing I thought it might be is you lose concentration after playing for a long time, maybe some coffee or something might help?

Aggression and going for the win at a Final Table is a good thing...but especially at low level tournaments, I've found that some players go a bit nuts when
they reach the FT, regardless of the blinds. Make sure you know where you're at
-if you have plenty of chips in relation to the blinds you can play your game and pick your spots.

I usually make it to pre bubble with a strong stack... usually top 30.. its after the bubble that the mindset changes...
