Question Playing on THF with multiaccounts

I watched the last birthday-bounty and was impressed by solid poker. As a nearly beginner (played years ago 5-draw at the army, trying to learn since 3 month) it was fun just to look :-)

The pity is: since gerdafriebe and me (Ps-Nick: tiescherlino) live together I don't dare to join. Some weeks ago PS disabled both our accounts, I think for playing the same tournament. That was'nt very nice as I played the german poker league and had a middle place in ranking. It took 2 weeks to get our accounts reactivated.

When playing again in a tornament we both had tickets for I asked PS if it's allowed. The answer:

quote:
As the tournament has 100+ maybe 1000+ players you have a very small
chance of being placed on the same table as its a multi table tournament
so therefore there will be no problems with you both playing in the same
tournament.
end quote

As there presumably are not 100+ players in the THF plays there'll be a greater chance to sit at the same table. So I decided to let gerdafriebe play and to watch carefully (there was a learning curve).

Any opinions ?

I'm not sure..but I know we have more than one "couple" (same household) play in our games. These are private games so I am sure it would be fine. An admin will come in to confirm this.

Hi Ingo and welcome to THF. Glad to have you aboard!

We have several couples here at THF that play in our private games. THF doesnt have a problem with this. I know that you can join the private games from seperate computers, seperate accounts for these. However, you cant join the smaller SNG's, PS wont allow it.

You can join the MTT's and private games. Im going to have to check on the 4/180 man SNG's. I think I have done that. I hope this answers your question.
Hope to see you at the tables soon
Cali

THF Player of the Year
Yeah as above. Poker Stars will allow you to play multi-table tourneys and private tourneys from the same household. Your accounts will be blocked from any other games apart from play chips.
We don't see a problem with you playing in THF games.

When playing together we'll be honest but will someone who is angry about evtl. losses not think over collusion ? So I think we start playing the midweeks alternately.

THF Player of the Year
I think if two people were colluding we'd notice that

No midweek league this month, but we will be having some midweek
THF get-together games no doubt.
The league has now moved back to Sundays now with $200 added in Prizes, along with some other THF tourneys at weekends with $100 added to the prize pool.

I asked PS again about multi account play this time regarding private MTT's. Now it's clear:

// quote
Hello Jörg,

Thank you for your email.

Please note that you can both play in MTTs together, and if you happen to
be at the same table, then you are allowed to play lightly against each
other.
You must play against the people you know in the same way you would play
against rest of players at the table.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further
assistance.

Kind Regards,

Elisa
PokerStars Support Team

// end quote

So I won't hesitate to play THF next time
